Watch out kids, they're coming for your cash !

First they got you with the Fruity Loops name...

Then Beaterator - what a name

Then BeatThang - what a name

Now they want you to pay for reviews, lol.

Music production is being marketed to 14 - 16 year olds.

"I made this on BeatThang now I'll get it reviewed by a supaproduca! Mom... I need $150 of my Christmas money early"

This post was me killing time. I won't really knock BlazeTraks any further... because it's not my business. So good luck with it. Hope it all works out.

I still would rather have an artist hear my ish over a producer... (that's why the Bishop Lamont thing was probably better imo)

so you're a saying I'm guaranteed a video response from the producer of my choice,as long as he's your client? seems to me like the person is just paying for bragging rights..not knocking your hustle, you found an angle that just might work for you but I'm not seeing any greater benefit from this than even something like rocbattle...and I know you'll say this is totally different than rocbattle

Hello GST. Yes you are guaranteed a video response (in a guaranteed amount of time) from the person of your choice, as long as they are a client and currently taking submissions (or you get a full refund). We have some clients who are not taking submissions at the time because they arent looking for anything specific, or they just dont have the time to commit. im glad you brought up bragging rights. Each user and each customer actually has the right to make the transaction private and one one. This is not so u can post the video on youtube and brag to your friends about it. It is a 1-1 transaction. Also, our client are not out to embarrass anyone, so if they are not thrilled with your submission and give u a less than stellar video, its only for your eyes. Nothing is made public unless both u AND the pro say so.

Yes it is very different from Rocbattle or any other website. This is not about advice and feedback, its about opportunity. This why some people are not taking submissions right now because they have no opportunity to offer. We are clear to out clients. Offer opportunity. Some of out clients actually have personal bets with each other about who will find someone to work with first.

And if you are not chosen for the opportunity, you are not left empty handed because u do have the vid with direction, advice, help etc. All of the reviews are very detailed. Rich Harrison (and yes we are related) just did an 8 min review of some kid. He spent 8 minutes telling this kid why he didnt like the submission, why it didnt fit what he was looking for, and how to improve and get better. That kid was very happy that Rich took that much time and described in detail what was up.

@ Ron H

I have a honest question,

when it's a major part about finding new talent and maybe even signing them, then I'm asking myself what someone like Boi-1da is doing in that list?
He's fairly new to the business of heavy hitters, IMO he's still to be considered as someone that is trying to place his foot in the top up there, so my question: How can someone that is trying to establish himself in the business further another unknown producer's career?

I can see this point with Darkchild who has a long lasting success in this game, who has his own label with an amount of people working under him, who already has producers signed to his label etc. But I no where can see the correctness of this point with someone like Boi-1da (no offense to him tho).

Thats a good question Live a Dream. Boi-1da is definitely an up and comer, but he is hot right now, and just got nominated for Grammy last night for "Best I Ever Had" with Drake. And there is a demand for him, but as a user, you have to ask yourself is he worth $100 (i believe that is his price) One point I want to make is that Blazetrak does not decide on the fee, each professional does...if he goes 3 months and gets no submissions, then he probably needs to lower his price, and we may recommend that. We cant tell our clients how to put a value on themselves...its kinda hard to tell Rodney Jerkins, "You not that hot"...LOL. We will let the public and the market dictate that.

oh, and let me add that Boi-1da has a new publishing/production company also, so he is looking for people to bring under that umbrella, which is what he has to offer.

Thanks

nah **** that industry bs, no trust...yall remember the cat from dipset that charged to listen to ur beats and basically just burned u for cash, i have no trust when it comes to what anybody in the industry says, might sound negative, but really i dont care

I understand your concern, but you are not doing business with them, you are doing business with Blazetrak, and we have a responsibility to u as a customer. If you dont like what u receive, we have no problem issuing a full refund. There are no strings.

I have a question Ron.

Lets say one of the your guys likes what I submit....what happens then. Do i get a face to face, send more beats, do i have to submit again. What the heck happens next???

Good question Smoke. it really just depends on the pro. If there is an interest, the pro will notify us and we make the connection. We have only been open since Nov 1st, and already Bruce Wayne (Midi Mafia), Rich Harrison, and J Money (Dirty South Records) have both found new writers (an Artist for J Money) to work with, and they gave out there personal email addresses and numbers and now they are working on different projects and communicating outside of Blazetrak. Once that connection is made, Blazetrak is no longer in the connection.

Feel free to create a free account and view the featured submissions section on the homepage to see some of the reviews that both parties said to make public. You can choose for yourself if it was worth it or not

We will have artists as well:

Big Boi
Keri Hilson
Rich Boy
Lil Jon
Ester Dean
Mase

are already in the system, we are working with them to structure their needs... new pros are coming on board everyday.

That was a funny picture too by the way... I laughed at that one.

1) As LD said, these people are your COMPETITION!!!! Producers don't sign other producers to PUT THEM ON. They

Aww hell...fcuk it.

Send me $25 and I'll review your track. Plus give you the name and number of anybody at any major label you want, so you can send it to them...

INCLUDING DARKCHILD AND RICH HARRISON.

How's that?

This was interesting...So Troupe, you say that you have Rich Harrison's and Darkchild's information? Well Rich happens to be my brother so i can easily confirm if you actually have his info, and Darkchild has become a good friend so i can also let u know about that too. Feel free to post it or send me a private note if you are not too sure.

And u can look in the white pages or a company directory to get someones number or email address, getting their undivided attention and response is the problem.

Thank you.

You're right...which was exactly what I was getting at.

Thank you.

Let me make it clear...I'm not AGAINST the idea of your site. Basically pay $150 for access to important people who are looking for talent.

But when it was described as "get a REVIEW from a PRO for $150", that's what I had the problem with. Because what a pro thinks means nothing...because it's their opinion...and the only opinion's that truly matter are those of the buying public...because THEY determine hits...not producers, not artists.

All of us (that are serious) have spent money to get access to the right people. Whether it's taking that trip to NYC, or paying for that conference pass...we've all done it...

And the $150 fee separates the BS'ers from the serious musicians.

But for me and my business model, I'll stick to selling my industry quality beats, drum kits, etc for 99 cents at...

I just find it funny how industry producers are resorting to alternative revenue streams that are designed to milk the dreams of the up and comers. Don't they understand the majority of us are not focused on "Getting On" anymore? The traditional music industry is no longer profitable for people like us. We represent a new way of thinking. A generation of entrepreneurs whose innovations will save the music industry.

I also find it funny how people with one, two, three or four posts TOTAL come out of nowhere to defend this website. Or should I say promote? You can't kid a kidder. Anyone who understands the value of their work and how scarce music money is, can obviously see the desperation in this "Dark-Child-Is-Going-To-Put-Me-On" "Sell-You-A-Dream" service.

This is no more than a scheme to make money off ambitious and uneducated producers.

This is no more than another BeatPal.com style e-promo tour...and we all know how that ended.

What happened to that other website that Darkchild was involved in...itw was like a virtual community or something? Had something like BeAStar or something in the name...

After reading the ENTIRE thread, all I have to say is...wow. FP is the funniest website on the face of the planet.

Lol what if they just had 2 default pre recorded videos and sent you either or based on someone listening to it once and it was either "good job I'm feeling the track" if it was good or "pretty good, keep at it" if it was bad.

Lol

I respect your response Troupe, and in response to your white pages comment, we dont have any of those people on are site (A&Rs Label Reps, ect). Like you said, u can find that info anywhere if you dig hard enough, and most of it is useless once u get it. Which is exactly why Bt was created. We have that people who actually make the records i.e. THE TALENT

When u submit on Blazetrak you are submitting for OPPORTUNITY, not the review, but you are in essence being "reviewed" by the pro for the opportunity (does that make sense, LOLOL), you get a thorough video response everytime even if you are not chosen for the opportunity. That is the value. Some people are satisfied by the mere fact that someone on the level of a Darkchild finally paid attention to them. To each its own.

And Troupe, if you are happy with the direction your career is going, and you are getting paid, and doing what you love to do, then you probably don't need to use the site to find other opportunites. We might even ask you to be pro on our site so you could advise others on how you are being successful and offer some opportunity if you have any.

Lol

I was waiting for this question. The pros cannot upload anything into the system at anytime, each response has to be streamed LIVE into the server.

It is impossible to upload a prerecorded video on the professional side, only users can upload materials.

Thanks

Dude, go to Blazetrak's site and look at the featured submission on the home page. Rich Harrison is LISTENING to the track that was submitted to him and then he gives a thorough response. You gotta see the video before you knock it.

I'm not saying I agree with the $185.00, but it seems to me that this guy will be working with Rich based on that video response. It will be interesting to see if Blazetrak showcases the people who got "put on".

On another note, I can't get this damn picture to be larger. It's for biggrome (OMP):
