LOLOL True indeed. i guess what i am saying is that I have probably spent tens of thousands of dollars over the years if i were to add up everything and I am no closer to getting any kind of deal then when i 1st started, and no one (that I know of) with any clout has heard anything I have done...so what is another $150 (when I have spent thousands) to guarantee me that Rich, or B.Cox, or Darkchild, or Polow, or Keri, or Big Boi, or whoever (all are on the site too) will get to hear me, and give me something tangible in return AND i can get a refund if I aint happy...

Im sorry....but like i said....this is a no-brainer to me.

it's a no brainer to someone who can afford it or has money to burn or just doesn't care about money or someone who doesn't think before they act or just doesn't think at all..not saying that this is a definite negative but it isn't a no brainer...the only guarantee with this is that you're guaranteed to have to come up off $150 and they use big names to get you

I wish I was Blazetrak staff right now - those jokers are probably making mad cash right now. I can't hate on um..that ideas is tha ****, especially considering that got all these people to get involved.

Maybe its time to do a reassessment of your overall business objectives and strategic approach because there is a obvious flaw in your game plan (no offense).

No doubt...if you just dont have it then you just dont have it. But u are definitly spending your money on something related to making music with probably no results. Its an option...a different one.

LOLOL....clearly this is what I am trying to do by using blazetrak. Instead of continuing to pay thousands i can now pay a few hundred and actually have the people I want to listen and respond with a video...This will SAVE me money.

So what are YOU doing with yourself? What is your strategic plan to make it in this game. Please enlighten us. If u have the secret formula please share cuz we all need it.

What exactly did you pay thousands for?? Sometimes I think people that make music(especially rappers and rap producers), don't treat music as a business...you're investing in yourself and you should have some goals in mind of what your investments should net you...and those goals should be able to be quantifiable...if you spent thousands and have nothing in return to show for it there is a flaw in your business model...
Oh all I said was what Legal Dollaz said, but he was more concise

You need to go and read Legal Dollaz previous posts.
Nobody knows who he is, but he drops knowledge lol.
Maybe one day we'll find out who the face behind the keyboard is, but until then, read his posts.

This game is so backwards now...the talent is paying to be heard, when they should be paid to be heard...

So here's the thing. Darkchild listens to your beat...and then he tells you "hey, this is a nice track. I would turn down the kick a little bit, pan the synths a little more wide, and add some reverb to the minor percussion elements. I can see an artist on this track. Good work."

Then what? Is that worth $150? You think Darkchild is gonna sign you because he likes one track of yours?

So you have what he thinks of your music. And they have your $150. Who got the better end of the deal?

It's an impersonal video, that he's SELLING. He just sold you a product. He has no interest in building a relationship with you, or talking to you face to face for that matter.

Now...had you been in his studio, discussing the merits of your music with him for an hour or 2, then I can see that being worth the price of admission..because at least then you're in the beginning phases of building a relationship with him.

But you just bought a 45 second video from him, for $150.

If you wanna get stroked, spend that $150 and get a year on a porn site...at least you'll get to bust a nut.

lol...oh man.

Look - man this thing is getting crazy. Here is the thing - I want to look at the featured submissions. These people like Rich Harrison are doing like 5 minute responses - they are not playin' around. My whole thing is that these dudes are rich anyway - they don't need the money. They are trying to find talent and not going to waste their time sifting through junk submitted for free. I mean come on! If you guys know any better way to get heard by people on this level please let me know...cuz the country music folks on Blazetrak are no joke.

You would be busting yo nuts on Blazetrak if 50 Cent or Dr. Dre were on there! Everyone keeps talking this B.S. about Darkchild. What if Timbaland or someone of that nature were to get on there. All you jokers would be dropping that cash. Just my 2 cents.

Here come the LPB (Low Post Brigade) to the rescue lol...

Wait...

The OP is the author of such groundbreaking threads as...

"How Important is Physique in Music Production"

and

"Dr's say school KILLS creativity, so I don't feel so bad about education"

SMH.

How much is your equipment? How much money have you spent in studios? Have you ever traveled to conventions, conferences (SXSW, DJ conference in PR, local radio station seminars and conventions, etc)? How about an attorney, marketing, pressing up CD's. How about the time you spend away from your REAL 9-5 (lost Salary) trying to make it. Do the math son....that equals THOUSANDS!

And what do you do all of this for? To hopefully get the finished product into the hands of someone who can make it happen for you. RIGHT?

Well this is that step.....and it costs $150.....easy choice.

No I wouldn't. Because I have direct access to their A&R's...Riggs Morales and Dre McKenzie...and Angelo Sanders (idk if he's still @ aftermath).

What these guys think about my music means NOTHING to me. If they like it, fine. If they don't, then fine too. Because they aren't the one's writing my checks.

My CUSTOMERS are the one's that are paying me, so those are the only opinions that I care about.

Yes, its better to spend your money on marketing and promoting your product/brand to your customers (music fans/prosumers/artists-writers) than getting feedback from your COMPETITION (ex - Darkchild). Take a step back, fully absorb the current state of the music industry in 2009, use some logic and common sense and things will appear much clearer

lol...oh man.

Maybe he will listen to more of your stuff offline because he liked your submission, maybe he will buy your track, maybe he will call you, maybe he will tell you to kick rocks and beat it, maybe the world will end tomorrow, maybe Halle Berry will give me some Puzzy one day....maybe ANYTHING. The point is you dont know, until u step out there. Now if you are strugglin to pay your rent and put food on the table, save your money. But if u are going to a studio to mix a record, or pressing up 1000 cds to hand out in Times Square, or spending $$$ on a MPC tomorrow to make a record so u can put it on myspace and pray that Darkchild comes to your page and send u a message then you are a dumbazz. (no disrespect to u, just a general statement...and i been there done that)

No one ever answered my question either. If Darkchild or Rich Harrison called you right now and said, " I am giving you a chance to play me your BEST track on Sat in LA, but u gotta get here on your own." what would you do???? Everyone of you jokers would buy a plane ticket that cost $500 to get there for that opportunity. Well i can stay my ass home and get the same opportunity for less.

Do you get checks for your music now? Do u have any customers? Real questions. Cuz if you have access to these folks, then why arent you producing for 50 cent and Em? (maybe u are I dont know). Clearly you have access to folks like that who can make it happen, so has it happened for you?...I dont have that access....and i know the kid in Montana with a keyboard and a dream cant call up the A&R at interscope..maybe u can... If you can get to guys like Darkchild without a hassle, then more power to you bruh and i wish i could. This is no different then paying a lil extra to get into VIP at a club. Its the ACCESS u payin for.

If you got it like that homie, and can pick a phone and call Riggs and Dre, and 50 and have them pay attention to you....then yeah, u dont need Blazetrak.

1) As LD said, these people are your COMPETITION!!!! Producers don't sign other producers to PUT THEM ON. They
