1) As LD said, these people are your COMPETITION!!!! Producers don't sign other producers to PUT THEM ON. They

Aww hell...fcuk it.

Send me $25 and I'll review your track. Plus give you the name and number of anybody at any major label you want, so you can send it to them...

INCLUDING DARKCHILD AND RICH HARRISON.

How's that?

Show me your production credits. How many Grammys have you won? Do you have a major label deal or publishing/production company? Any #1's on Billboard? How about any major artists signed?

If you can prove any of this to me I will send you the $150

Maybe he will listen to more of your stuff offline because he liked your submission, maybe he will buy your track, maybe he will call you, maybe he will tell you to kick rocks and beat it, maybe the world will end tomorrow, maybe Halle Berry will give me some Puzzy one day....maybe ANYTHING. The point is you dont know, until u step out there. Now if you are strugglin to pay your rent and put food on the table, save your money. But if u are going to a studio to mix a record, or pressing up 1000 cds to hand out in Times Square, or spending $$$ on a MPC tomorrow to make a record so u can put it on myspace and pray that Darkchild comes to your page and send u a message then you are a dumbazz. (no disrespect to u, just a general statement...and i been there done that)

No one ever answered my question either. If Darkchild or Rich Harrison called you right now and said, " I am giving you a chance to play me your BEST track on Sat in LA, but u gotta get here on your own." what would you do???? Everyone of you jokers would buy a plane ticket that cost $500 to get there for that opportunity. Well i can stay my ass home and get the same opportunity for less.

personal contact is totally different..example,you get there and he finds out you live down the corner from where he's from, you know Pookie and all them,or both of yall like white women with rather large nipples,or w/e,if the beat is hot chances are he's might look out as opposed to giving him money and waiting for an email..if you get one

Do you get checks for your music now? Do u have any customers?

Yes. ASCAP check just came last week.

Real questions. Cuz if you have access to these folks, then why arent you producing for 50 cent and Em? (maybe u are I dont know).

Because 50 Cent and Eminem put out ONE album every 3 years. My customers put out projects every day.

Clearly you have access to folks like that who can make it happen, so has it happened for you?...I dont have that access....and i know the kid in Montana with a keyboard and a dream cant call up the A&R at interscope..maybe u can...

I recognized the "game" for what it is, and revamped my business plan accordingly. So 50 Cent and Eminem isn't my entire focus. There are much smaller fish to fry.

If you got it like that homie, and can pick a phone and call Riggs and Dre, and 50 and have them pay attention to you....then yeah, u dont need Blazetrak.

Alrighty then.

Wait...

The OP is the author of such groundbreaking threads as...

SMH.

The OP as in Thread Starter?! I haven't posted none of those threads, so IDK where it's coming from that you put my name through the dirt like that lol Probably a mistake on your part ;)

Man it is about the MUSIC...whether he hears it right in front of u on the Mac, if he digs it and wants to work with u, he gonna work with u....he can just as easily say "thanks for coming to LA, but Im cool, get home safe"...and now your ass is out $600 instead of $150...but u would still go becuase of th opportunitu presented...u just aint seal the deal kid

Dude, if you could get to these people, why in the hell do you have 13,000+ posts on Future Producers? Obviously it has not worked for you since you have been on here a loooong time. This is a forum for FUTURE or aspiring producers. Awww f*k it, I would pay you $25.00 to tell me what DID NOT work for you cuz you still here.

How much is your equipment? How much money have you spent in studios? Have you ever traveled to conventions, conferences (SXSW, DJ conference in PR, local radio station seminars and conventions, etc)? How about an attorney, marketing, pressing up CD's. How about the time you spend away from your REAL 9-5 (lost Salary) trying to make it. Do the math son....that equals THOUSANDS!

And what do you do all of this for? To hopefully get the finished product into the hands of someone who can make it happen for you. RIGHT?

Well this is that step.....and it costs $150.....easy choice.
Why are you so defensive...if you have done all that and nothing has happen, you should reevaluate what you are doing, I haven't argued for or against the $150...
On some real ish each year in Baltimore(I know it happens a other cities) "labels" and "a&r's" come here, do a big promotion on the radio "come perform for $400 dollars in front of major labels", they get a bunch od dudes that pay, and nothing comes out of that its a ploy to make money...you seem like the type of dude that would pay to perform, no diss, because its a chance to be heard...the investments that you are making may simply be bad ones...

I do the math...I'm not thousands of dollars in the hole musically...I have not made a profit, but I'm a resourceful person...

I'm not knowledgeable enough on the site to make an informed decision, but what makes that site different than musicplacements or PMP, or anything to the like...

Music aside...its a business when you're losing money into perpetuity, there becomes a point when you must re-evaluate your business model...if you even have one...stop being so defensive...its not that serious

Oh and we have a different view of how to attain success, you want someone to make it happen for you...I want to be the person that makes it happen...

I can have access to President Obama too, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna become a member of congress.

There's more to placing tracks than just "knowing someone".

And to be completely honest, I'm here, and I have 13,000 posts, because EVERYONE ELSE IS HERE TOO. There are alot of important lurkers on FP...and they watch. And they reach out when they need to. They just don't have screen names.

So being on FP is as much about exposure to new business opportunities as flying to NYC and sitting in a major studio.

I've gotten many great opportunities because of those 13,000 posts. In fact...I was just flown out to LA last month, because of my being on FP.

Welcome to The Business Of Music. :)

After you spend that $150 for some cat that HAS all of that to tell you what he thinks about your music, you show me the same...

And then I'll show you the new piece of equipment that I bought with the $150 I saved by switching to Geico.

bruhman..you're preaching to the choir

but it's still different..yea you still might go home with nothing but you were able to at least bang out to your beat in front of him and show him the energy..you're in the studio 'orchestrating' your beat, you know that one-finger swirl shyt when the strings come in or some shyt...ppl feed off that..you're bringing them into your world now...sink or swim time...as opposed to no verbal or any kind of direct physical contact, you put your money in the fish bowl and hope your name gets picked

also,I think alot of ppl go with a 10 second rule..if I'm not banging my head in 10 seconds,it's a wrap for you..you send him your money and your music..the day he decides to listen to it,you haven't moved him in 10 seconds..NEXT...remember,there's a line...now he probably wouldn't do that to you in person,he'd more than likely give you a chance to 'showcase' your beat and thas even if it needed it..if the music speaks for itself, then it is what it is..point is the personal contact is far more worth the money..

When cat's like DARKCHILD are doing websites like this, you KNOW the game is bad.

Anybody that pays $150 to get a track review is OUT THE RABBIT ASS MIND!

Or the producers has a really good relationship with the person who started the site. helping a friend make some money.

$150 is too much!

but it's kinda smart for darkchild to do this, if the price was better. I'm not 100% sure but I believe he is an A&R. and this helps him find music, and he gets paid for it. pretty much he spends a few extra minutes (not the 30 secs that most people get) and gets paid for it.

Hello everyone, I am one of the Co-Founders of Blazetrak. My name is Ron Harrison. You guys have Google going crazy right now about Blazetrak so i wanted to come in see what was going on and to answer any questions or clear up any misconceptions you may have about Blazetrak. I read through the pages and most of you are pretty negative about the concept thus far (which we expected because its new). Hopefully I can show you the real value in what we are trying to accomplish with Bt and hopefully, some of you will give us try.

Let me start of by describing Bt. Blazetrak is the first website to allow anyone in the world to get in touch with a highly sought after professional (celebrity) for a fee and receive a guaranteed video response from that professional.

It's really that simple. You tell us who u want to get in touch with and we make it happen.

Why is there a fee? There are a few reasons for this. One is we have to maintain the website and go through the trouble of securing the talent who is willing to make themselves this available to the public, and this is not easy, so we take a cut of the fee. The rest goes to the Professional. Two, all of our clients are very well off and some are quite rich, so they don't really care about the fee (some actually donate their share to charity), but it is necessary for the time they are spending to review each submission, and give a thorough video response in return. All of our clients are looking for talent for one reason or another, but the time and manpower it would take to sift through the endless demos, emails, myspace messages (if they even check them) would just be overwhelming. Finally, the fee also cuts the fat. It separates those who are serious, from those on American Idol who think this is a joke. Our clients made it clear that they did not want junk submitted to them, and that is typically what you get when u just open the flood gates. This is a controlled and safe environment for them. Yeah, they may still get junk, but its junk that was paid for, so the pro feels much better about spending the time and helping to educate and advise.

I will try to answer as many questions as I can so please direct me specifically. You can also send me a note on here (i believe) if you want a more personal questions.

Thanks,
Ron

Dude, okkkk, there is clearly a lack of communication here. Why do u keep saying I am doing this for advice???? Its not the advice my man, its the opportunity that they can offer that i want. I know that if Darkchild like my work, then he can put me on...Will he do this, I dont know, but he is in the biz of making music, so if he does like my stuff enough, I have to believe that he will try to find a way to make something work

so you're a saying I'm guaranteed a video response from the producer of my choice,as long as he's your client? seems to me like the person is just paying for bragging rights..not knocking your hustle, you found an angle that just might work for you but I'm not seeing any greater benefit from this than even something like rocbattle...and I know you'll say this is totally different than rocbattle

@ Ron H

I have a honest question,

when it's a major part about finding new talent and maybe even signing them, then I'm asking myself what someone like Boi-1da is doing in that list?
He's fairly new to the business of heavy hitters, IMO he's still to be considered as someone that is trying to place his foot in the top up there, so my question: How can someone that is trying to establish himself in the business further another unknown producer's career?

I can see this point with Darkchild who has a long lasting success in this game, who has his own label with an amount of people working under him, who already has producers signed to his label etc. But I no where can see the correctness of this point with someone like Boi-1da (no offense to him tho).

nah **** that industry bs, no trust...yall remember the cat from dipset that charged to listen to ur beats and basically just burned u for cash, i have no trust when it comes to what anybody in the industry says, might sound negative, but really i dont care

LMFAO!!!!! AND ON CUE, A PERSON INVOLVED WITH BLAZETRACK SHOWS UP TO EXPLAIN THE CONCEPT!!!

I love FP...seriously. You couldn't write better sh*t that what goes on on this website.

Who would really pay to get feedback though, lol. That's like the bottomline of the whole silliness of this venture.

Everybody that does a review has a certain musical taste... just like me and you. What if the person I pick doesn't necessarily like my style but ! if I had picked somebody else... they may have loved it.

If anybody pays for this, you are desparate to no end, lol.

I KNOW ONE THING! If you do pay, you'd better make sure your music is playing right on the vid with the producer and he can talk specifically to your work. If I had this site, I'd pay Darkchild for about 10 reviews and use those over and over... you'd think he was talking to you, lol. 50 other people would think the same thing when I sent them "their" video response.

To SmokeDogg, you spent all of that money and didn't get anywhere... first I have to LOL! then I have to remind you that this is a review... not an opportunity... It doesn't say "work with Darkchild".... don't you think Darkchild hears music for free, just like me and you? but you're willing to pay him to listen... wow.

Beans N Rice got a Toomp review for free... ha ha.

I'm thinking of a scam right now. Gotta be a few more untried ones.

Remember Bishop Lamont had this for $99... him and Warren G would play 15 seconds of each song and basically be doing their own track dump. Warren G can remake them shyts too... so can DarkChild.

If they do like your ish, they'll either remake it or contact you for it... doesn't mean they're going to say come to my studio and work with me...

Who wants to buy some Amway?
