FF to about 1:50. You get a real good close up of what the OTHER side of the Track Dump function looks like.

Watch this vid. Towards the end he shows a close up of what the actual track dump screen looks like. It's listed by producer (and picture), name of beat, and the play button.

wow... i never paid attention to his video since it said he was affiliated with dipset. i thought he was just gonna be some street cat like "send me beats!" but he was actually pretty smart. i guess that just goes to show, don't judge a book by its cover.

i think i also figured out that after you submit a track, when you take that track to the track dump again, if it still shows "track submitted" then the track is still there being reviewed, but if it gives you the option to 'submit this track' again then you've been deleted from the listener's list of beats. does that make sense? i'm pretty sure that's what's going on

No...you can only submit a track once to a particular track dump.

i guess they don't wanna deal with bidding wars

No...not like that.

I can submit 1 track to multiple artists. But I can't submit 1 track to the same artists' dump 50 times.

ooo ok, that makes sense. that would be wack if u'r opening up a dump and u keep seeing the same track.

That would be a myspace comment section.

But for real this PMP joint looks decent from the outside, I'm probably going to check that out when i get my production room and my living situation straight.

Anyone know how often they update the featured tracks? just curious, first they had all the old producers that were invited, but now they are getting into the rest, now the highest numbered track is 352252 (i think that means its the 2252nd beat uploaded.) could be a good way to tell if theyve already rejected your track for featured list.

Featured tracks are pretty much what the staff of the website is really feeling. My track 350339 is up there, and one of the behind the scenes people sent me a message saying that my track was banging, and it's on constant rotation in the office.

So from what I understand, it's whatever the staff is feeling.

for those who were invited to the website,

were you invited by existing memebers or did the website creators invtie you?

if PMP can maintain an effective review process where they limit the amount of members, then i might try to join later on.
Sounds like a good idea though.

Here's an email that I just got from PMP...They send these out pretty regularly.

PMP Note:

Track Dump scheduled dates to open or close can change at any time so keep your eyes open. A Track Dump can close For a period of time and then suddenly re-open upon A&R/Manager/Artist request.

Producer Tips:

- Visual presentation is very important to potential buyers so make sure you invest in quality pictures of yourself, equipment, etc…

- A professional bio shows that you’re about business

- Use some originality with your track descriptions. Paint the picture for the potential buyer

- Be realistic with your pricing when somebody makes an offer. A happy customer is someone who will return again to do business

- Only submit 2 or 3 of your best beats for a Track Dump. Don’t for example submit an R&B ballad track for a hard core rapper unless requested

- Make sure to log into your home page on a daily basis to keep track of comments and offers

- Most importantly keep grinding in the studio! The music business doesn’t need excuses it needs great music!

Track Dump Reminder:

Keep in mind if you remove a track you have submitted to a particular Track Dump from your page it will no longer be accessible to the A&R/Manager/Artist that manages that Track Dump. The music that you submit has a link back to your home page so the A&R/Manager/Artist can listen to the rest of your music and/or contact you. All music submitted to the Track Dump is screened for quality assurance purposes.

On that NOE video, they showed Meech Wells submitting to NOE and Wells is managed by Ariel Berkal. i was contacted by Berkal yesterday and going over some paperwork with in the next week about a contract mangement with Berkal. so hopefully i'll get a few steps forward from where i am now.
but PMP is definitely a site for the future (no pun intended)

Are the A&R's/Artists/Buyers/Etc mostly commercial/mainstream cats? Or are there indie label cats on there as well? if so, anyone know who?

Good to here man...how did he find you through pmp or what....

actually i dont know exactly how it got my email but he emailed me and brought everything to my attention yesterday. I replied and said i would be willing to look over the contract and he said he is sending my lawyer the paper work next week and we'll see what happens from there. he said he'll cover my PMP subscriptions and that he will set everything up for me.

Wohoo got a track featured! Looks like they are doing some serious reviewing of tracks
