bullseye, props! this one's been on my wishlist for some time now, and they've realised it more or less exactly the way i pictured it in my head. i can't get the smile off my face! keyboard-controlled harmonies, oh yes indeed... :D
 
I know what would make it un-fukwitable. And I think I know what's next. Alll of this stuff man, you have no need for MPC's, Pro Tools, none of that unless you just want or like to use it. Record + Reason> anything else on the market.

Yoooooooo it's crazy! Yo I am so hyped right now, this is the first morn I woke up to actually catch what they had for the day. Yo that piece is sick! Now I can do my singers right up in Record and a.........................aaaaaaahhhhhhhh man! It's over! I really don't have to open PT now, they just messed the game up. They went for the jugular on this one! this is freaking CRAZY! The vocals and be on the SSL mixer and we got time stretch too? I hope they come with the illest EFX box now that's all they need now. If they come with an ill EFX box IT'S OVA!

Nah I am keepin my MPC because I am incorporating that with Record, I got all types of tricks up my sleeve. lol But Protools will definitely not be opened for NOTHING! All they gotta do now is come with a hot EFX box and it's over. Hell I got hardware plugged into that sucka and my Motif so I am well over good on sounds. They just changed the dam game.
 
as a Reason user since 07.. i am pleased.. Record didnt really fit my needs, but if i can get both for 150 with an upgrade? why the **** not use it lol

^^^^ What's up DaNoc, is that all you would like to see in Record is the new EFX or is it something else that you think they need?

Neptune going to make the sounds in even better.

Yo man right now I am tears lol yo did you hear how that vocal sound in that ish? oh my freakin Gawd, IT'S OVA !

Right now DJ I would really like to see a hot EFX box to match Neptune, if they don't I will use the Eventide H3000 or M5000 or PCM91 or 480L Models in RV7000, they sound dope. I would like to see midi out, a super synth module. That's about it. but SUPRISE ME! lol hahaha I love suprises ! lol

I feel you! If they do bring Midi, that a be tight. Thats the only reason why I hadn't grabbed another MPC yet. I like how you using all your hardware through record. I've been using my Fantom lately just to give me that feel of hardware again. I started with Reason last year and kind of moved away from the hardware, but with Record its put me back on my board. Midi would help a lot.

Yeah man I would love to see midi out, so many people requested it and they deserve it. makes me no never mind because I still do my thang regardless.

while dudes were getting rid of their hardware I was looking at them like they have an 85 dollar bill! :confused: Man I have a New Motif XS, Triton Rack, roland 3080 blown out with cards and a 1080 blown out with cards. While dudes worried about VSTi's I don't because I got that hardware and My trust MPC. I have an MPK88 and that's great for workstation work. But when I want that feel I hit that MPC2000XL forget what ya heard! I don't want Maschine, BeatThang, this or that I got my set up. Now dudes are wishing they had that hardware lol that's why I think before I move, I am not going just software, I am not getting caught out there. I have the best of both worlds.

im all software, i will never use hardware only for like analog mixing but that's about it. i have no use for hardware in my setup. and the few extra suprises in record/reason make me never want to go hardware again nor do i need third party plugins or any other daw on the market.

Yeah there seems to be alot of workflow enhancements, there's nothing bad about that but I guess I was just expecting more since the 4.0 version update focused on the sequencer and thor, I was expecting this update to be a little more focused on new devices, updating the outdated (but still useable) nnxt, redrum, and even the malstrom and subtractor could use a overhaul. And then the octorex can't slice which is a disappointment, but I knew it was unlikely they were going to do that since they sell recycle. Like I said, they're good updates just not the ones I was looking for (so far from what I've heard leak and what the website has shown). But it's not over yet.

people are just that way kind of. Whats funny is autotune has been around since the 90s and T-Pain was just the first to use it the way he does. Its just pitch correction software but you know people will rape it for a few months just to say they had an autotune song lol

On the real , Cher used that in her Pop song back in the 90's and she did the autotune. A lot of peeps forgot about that, then T Pain did it.
 
this could possibly bring me back to reason...when the hell is the release date for these? im excited as hell for the next two updates too...give me something i can slice audio with and a midi out and they have a lock for a return customer...i know the slice audio is a longshot but i can hope
 
ima mostly use neptune for mangling vocal samples. plus i'm sure some very interesting combinators will be made utilising it.

that may be a dream come true for audio slice(hint hint) all im going to say is getting ready to throw the mpc away.
 
well.. slicing samples up external using recycle does not really bother me, because I like big interfaces when slicing, if reason incorporates that feature, then it will be a small slicing screen...

what they need to do is update recycle, and make it functional with your midi controller... instead of having to press the keyboard and mouse to playback your sample

Don't bust on me, but I like the song they are playing in the demo video for Neptune.

The vocals remind me of some Anthony Hamilton ish.
