True but if X didn't see midi out doesn't mean it's not going to be implemented. we will have to see. :)

Yeah, a beta isn't final. I'm just saying that with prior history it's not likely right? Anyway selfishly midi out isn't a big deal for me, I want new samplers and fx, maybe some new synths but I'm sure I'm asking for too much.

I don't like to jump on the "this is popular so I hate it" train but, auto-tune is very meh to me, I personally dont like the sound in most music. I can see why some will see value in it though. I'm starting to worry that I wont find an excuse to get the next reason, especially since I'm not interested in record so the upgrade/combo deals are not that attractive to me. Oh well I still very much like reason 4, not giving up just yet though.

from where I sit my dude, you're not asking to much, it's a decent ask. I mean it's due to have a new EFX module that can handle multi task. Like have 2 channels in it, where it can have reverb, and delay at the same time, that would be dope. A hot synth/instrument module with the illest sounds in it to at least quench the thrist of those who so eager for VSTi. Sampler, well I hope they fixed up the NNXT for that. Midi out is not important to me but so many requested that, it's like if they don't it will be a sad day on that midi out.

I'm going to wait and see until it's all done and said before I say anything bad. I have both and I am getting aboard because I know it's going to be ok, and I always say I am giong to update with Props, no so with AVID/Digi, I am going to stay where I am and I am not updating PT anymore, that's it, I don't care what they get.

Though They are sitting back watching this whole thing go down, but it's to late, even if they came with something dope, I don't want it. They tried to get slick and throw in Eleven when Props came with the Line 6 amp and bass amp, I wasn't hardly impressed. Digi put me through three months of hell! so it's only naturally I update Record/Reason.
 
The beta will last about a month. And it will all be about fixing bugs. The manual is already ready. And no, it has no MIDI-out. That's final. It's even doubtful to add UI updates coz the manual is already ready.

its a good update but this one is will be mostly about workflow and things that will make working in Reason easier. Plus a lot of people requested autotune in Record early. I think it tap tempo and midi out are the most common requests Ive seen for Record and Reason in the last year. Record is a dope program too you should check it out if you ever decide to go Reason all the way. Its definately more than most people make it out to be.

I've checked Record out, didn't really click with it, and felt a bit limited or clunky in areas, and UI felt a little too cluttered. It's not what I'd prefer to use when recording audio, at least as it currently stands.

Yeah there seems to be alot of workflow enhancements, there's nothing bad about that but I guess I was just expecting more since the 4.0 version update focused on the sequencer and thor, I was expecting this update to be a little more focused on new devices, updating the outdated (but still useable) nnxt, redrum, and even the malstrom and subtractor could use a overhaul. And then the octorex can't slice which is a disappointment, but I knew it was unlikely they were going to do that since they sell recycle. Like I said, they're good updates just not the ones I was looking for (so far from what I've heard leak and what the website has shown). But it's not over yet.
 
can i ask a question why do people just assume auto tune to be used just used with t-pain and hip hop. auto is used on most record today and not the t-pain way
 
^^^It's the name brand "Autotune". You say "pitch correction" and it makes sense. People even use it on instruments for sick FX.

"Autotune" was just accessable to everyone wanting to sound like T-Pain.

exactly my point. most cats these days wouldn't even know what to do with a ptich correction tool which is one of the main reason why i love that tool because you can create some sick fx with it.
