i never claimed to like beat thang i just stated that they were trying to get mpc coustomers.

beat thang is a cool toy. nothing more.

reason has destroyed the mpc and i'm a mpc user. and with the updated sequencer and some thing i can't speak on the mpc is history.trust and believe.

thanks for the verification gibbs i can read between the lines and im sure youve told me all i need to know.

trust me i haven't told you anything yet you would have to see it to believe and use it to trust it.

I give up..
all I really want is vsti's
all these talks of slicing features don't really get me excited, I manually chop in adobe audition
it's not like reason is going to make me a better chop/slicer

I wan't some more sounds... I am learning to play piano, give me some sounds, give me vst

it's ok, I will stick with cubase, unlimited options in it

if most people understood the real power of refills and came from a truely limited background they would understand just how unlimited Reason is. Its only real limitation is in the fact that you cant throw vsts in it which isnt a big deal refills are cheaper than vsts

actually.. the quality and quanity of refill sounds are not the same as vst plugins

I am talking about, spectrasonics omnisphere, trilian, sample tank series, native instrument kontakt sounds, quantum leap Goliath etc etc

I have allot of reason refills, but when I have the option of using a vst plugins and opening up the interface of a synth etc.. that's much better to me then any refill

if u stop using presets and wanna create your own custom sounds. Nothing beats reason combinator

since when do people have to have a mpc to know how to operate one? i have one thats not listed in my gear list and I had a mpd lol

i never said the word "operate".

just seems that someone that would have the "best" perspective would be someone that OWNS both...

i hope reason improves the saving options
fl studio you can save files as zips, that option comes in handy just in case you delete a folder containing a sound that's in your beats

i don't see which mpc you have in your sig / gear list...

just an mPD.

ive owned a mpc2000 and mpc2000xl years ago i sold them due to space and and workflow when it came to using software there were some feature that were in the mpc that were never in reason up until the blocks feature i still can use the mpc with eyes closed. i switch from the mpc becasue i was able to achieve the sound than most of the function with recycle and reason, now with reason 5 i can do alot more and everything is exactly like mpc.

i'd rather save in session FOLDERS than zips...

same thing...but i'd just get tired of unpacking into FOLDERS that should already have been there...

alot of people confuse loud with sound quality. all the samples that are used are all 24bit 44.1k sound i never understood where they get this whole sound quality thing. but anyway i sent xabition a track that was made in reason by itself and i'll him tell what it sounds like. and i used refills and stock sounds.
