Actually, its kinda neat how its all hooked up. You see, my set up on the right is hooked up into the middle channel of his mixer. We can actually have all four decks, or two cd decks and two tt's going at the same time. From his mixer its all plugged into a 600 watt stereo system. Not bad for a dorm room no? As far as his Numark TT-2's they are definitely the backup decks. Both us of us spin primarily on the techs. But yes, we do practice at the same time, going back and forth tag team style.

We try to do a bit of everything. We started out just throwing down house. I started to move into hard house and hard trance, but I still mix a good deal of house. He started to get into hip hop more and more, even moving on to a little bit of reggae. We always swap ideas and teach eachother new things all the time. As a result, we've both learned to scratch (though he is much better than I), as well as mix a number of genres. I can't even begin to say how much fun we've been having this year at school.

Here's an old pic of my setup (4-5 months old. this is not the usual position of the mixer, I can't remember why it was like that). Now I got Shure M44g needles, and speakers positioned much wider and at head height. Add a pair od Sennheiser HD25sp to the setup, not visible on the photo.

Yeah, and one day I'm gonna use it too! erm... how do I use it? lol
