Heh... I have 3 of those HMV cases. OK, so they're not top quality but I've had them on planes lots (like about 5 times) and they've stood up well. One of them has a dent in the side but the others are fine and the tunes are unharmed - that's why you buy them after all!

For the price (I think £30 now) they're well worth it.

the odyssey cases are kinda nice, we sell them at the store. right now if you buy a TTX you get a free odyssey case! pretty good deal, they cost $60.

thought I'd add a picture of my setup to the long list, 2 techs, nightclub S, rodec MX180MKIII and sennheiser HD25.. there are some vinylcrates down right in the picture left out, gonna try and capture em next time

dj wise yes, got some other stuff plugged in aswell, such as a two computers, output back to one of them, and I'm getting a third deck pretty soon..

having that many inputs on a mixer sounds insane, but i've maxed out my 464 on the stereo inputs and now i'm using the side 4 channels for additional things. i have 3 decks, two cd decks, and i use one of the other stereo inputs for my Paris input and the other pair on the side for my computers sound card....wack....but nice to have everything there without repatching

ah no, id love to have that many inputs, i just could only see two tt's

yea thats true david. Wouldn't have bought the mx180 unless I'd gotten such an excellent deal on it... some extra channels are always nice, but that's a tad bit on the wicked side

in the rack next to the turntables: gemini CD-9500 cd player, Behringer Composer Pro, Red Sound Voyager 1, Art-FX1, and an Electric Mo-FX.

in the rack over the amp: Behringer Eurorack MX1604, BBE 362 processor, and a Gemini SR-O surround sound processor. amp is a Samson F-800 and the speakers are Vidsonix double 10"'s.

wheels of steel: 1 technics mk3d (with the sticker) and 2 technics mk2's, one has a green faceplate on it. mixer is a Vestax PCV-175A.

Cool setup man. Do you find it hard to mix having the pitch fader away from you?

not at all. during the initial beatmatch (where i cue up the record and adjust the pitch) i sort of stand over the deck, with one hand on the platter and the other on the pitch fader. you probably can't tell from the pictures, but the actual height of the decks is less than 3 feet off the ground. i'm short (5'7") but even so, it's easy to reach over adjust the pitch without any worries of bumping the tonearm. the only problem i've ever had is that i can't wear shirts or sweaters with long baggy sleeves, because they have a habit of catching the tonearm by accident. :p

There are some longer threads, for instance the "just got back from the store"-thread (hats off for 4etski :p), but this one is close no doubt

Quite possibly my favorite thread ever.

Carry on.

not at all. during the initial beatmatch...blah blah blah

That's great. I asked because that's the type of setup I'll be using on my show (college radio). I've already used their cd players (Denon!) but I've not yet had the chance to set the 1200's up.
