I think Wauterboi is underrated. The mans Electric and Fresh beats get no credability. Don't know Wauterboi? Look him up.
 
Most Underrated would probably have to go to Fat Jon the Ample Soul Physician for me. His drum patterns are dope and he really set the tone for a lot of the Nujabes tracks from the Departure album. A lot of his works are being credited as Nujabes tracks too.

I feel you man, he definitely has to be one of my favourite producers, samples and drums are so on point.

More so, I think EOM (from Wax and EOM) is hella underrated, his Wondervision release got mad slept on; check him out on youtube or sometin'
 
I definitely think Nujabes deserves a lot more attention than he gets. In my opinion, he's one of the best.

I agree, Fat John is waaay too underrated.
 
I think it all depends on your style of music. From Dr. Dre to Just Blaze, Dilla, RZA, 9th Wonder. They all have some great tracks. I think as long as they all touch someone with something that makes em feel good. They got it.
 
all of the legendary producers in my books is on the underrated side, having the strange reclusive characteristics that they have.
Dilla, Madlib, Aesop, Nujabes, Nottz... all these guys (and more ofc with all due respect), stay out of the hype from the game.
Yes some are famous, but not to the mainstream appeal but to budding producers like us and the recording artists that were blessed enough to record with their production.
 
I gotta throw in Rob The Viking unless he's already been mentioned. Swollen Members has sold a lot of records but as a fan I feel he deserves a little more credit.

I would have to say Havoc. He makes some bangers for sure. I like Nottz a lot too i feel like a lot of people sleep on him.
 
Yeah, its not how complex the sample is at all, its whether or not it sounds good. No I.D. is underrated to me
