So many people start to disregard the talent of others when it doesn't fit their style, even the talent of others who fit their style but don't match their production skill.
We all have something to offer that no one else can match.
 
these are some great things to live by being a producer. I have slowly learned all of these over the years and can relate completely. Props.

great post i must say the brain is more important than the ears. Composers like Beethoven may be considered the producers of their time by some and he became deaf and went on to write more music that is still being played today!
 
I agree with all, never been big on using MIDI, therefore didn't apply to me, all else is well written.
