reason and record is ahead of the all daw as far as stability and being user friendly and compact files. and simplicity. and the ssl mixer alone is better than all other daws on the market.
Those features are in Record doubt they will be in both. Better jump on board its about the same price as a Reason upgrade anyway. I am assuming you still own your Reason license. Then youll get a free Reason upgrade when it drops so 2 for the price of one at this point. We talking about all these modules and stuff...forget that I need more export options ie; export all selected tracks as wav, or export mono wav files etc, Lol somebody gotta know what Im talking about here.
None of the upgrades are really "new" to the world just new to Reason and interesting the way they have been implmented but when was the last time Props has done anything really innovative before anyone else? Remote?regardless of what they add.. it's most likely something that other software already had for years..
then when those other software update, reason going to be behind again
reason 4 came out in fall of 07, they take 3 years to upgrade, so the upgrades should be major

I give up..
all I really want is vsti's
all these talks of slicing features don't really get me excited, I manually chop in adobe audition
it's not like reason is going to make me a better chop/slicer
I wan't some more sounds... I am learning to play piano, give me some sounds, give me vst
it's ok, I will stick with cubase, unlimited options in it
oh yeah no daw or vst has the remote feature. none of them. usually with most software you have to go through a lot of configuration just to get to function half as good as remote function.
My dude if you want sounds man there's tons of REFILLS! They have refills with the Triton sounds, MoPhat, Roland 5080, Fantom, Motif XS etc, Sonic Reality, I mean the list goes on, Mr Gibbs got 100GB of refillsI mean how many sounds do you need? That's your VSTi right there. they are not adding that because they have mad refills.
i can pretty much created most vsts. i can litterally take all the sounds from most vsts incorporate them into reason no problem. i even have battery 3 refill with all 12gbs of drums and even antive mashine drum library adn that's only about 4gbs worth of drums i have all of those. and i use them in reason no problem.
Live has remote.![]()
Battery 3's sounds are easy to incorporate into anything because NI didn't put that library into a proprietary format. Battery 3's library is all .wav which is a good thing. You can open it's sounds in anything. If somebody sold you or gave you a "Battery 3" refill, that's no different at all then bootlegging because all he really gave you was Battery 3's library.
live gui sucks lol.

i bought battery 3 which on the low was a waste of money i was caught up in the vst hype before too i spent too much money on vsts and ended being bored with them after the first month because half the sounds of most of these vsts i had already within reason.
The track is solid, I dig it also
I won't lie vsti are nice I also own pro tools 8 and love xpand 2 .I been trying to use pt as my main daw and rewire reason but work flow aint the same
live gui sucks lol.![]()
The track in the Neptune promo video was produced by Chaka Blackmon.
people want new updates every year and they haven't learned half of what's already in the daw

i never used the refill packer...
for those who have, is it as simple as just stuffing a folder full of .wav files and clicking "PACK" / "CONVERT"?

That Neptune is killing me. Wow! Routing FX to that joint! I'm impressed. Only thing is how real can it get. Either way it's worth the purchase "now" for those who do not have a dedicated DAW.
