hardware is overpriced for what they are offering. that only hardware worth buying is mic pre's and analog mixers imo.
 
IV owned every mpc ever made ask Xabiton as well as a Roland MV8000 for. Years I don't. Own any anymore but I still know them like the back of my hand no need to own them to compare

Also sombody said refills don't sound as good as vsti not true I own logic which has the best sounds imo and I can get reason to sound just as good problem w refills are they are dry and not layered

Open a combi w a line mixer and learn to layer add FX and when u have a great sound save it and it be YOUR custom patch .

i wouldn't buy hardware for the COMPOSING side of music creation...just for the RECORDING side...and MIXING side (monitors)...

that's what i'm sayin'...you have more "credit" to say that because you actually OWN Logic...

if you were a cat that didn't even own it, i'd look at your above statement twice...

i feel ya'll tho...i used to "own" pro tools, and don't anymore because i got rid of all my interfaces, so yeah, i can speak on it...but PREVIOUSLY owning something and CURRENTLY owning something is a tad different when speaking on it / making comparisons...maybe not a lot, but a little...

the guy with glasses might be some kind of zoom feature maybe ? Maybe the slice feature ? Or something with better visuals like updated GUI ?

that like saying yo i used to own a record player so now that i dont own one i can't speak on it. Im sorry im logic owner as well. Adn i make any refills sound just as big as logic. Its not really that difficult. I can make comparisions because i've several years of experience with hardware and software i know the differnces of the equipment that i've owned. Just because i dont own it anymore doesnt' make my statement any less valid than someone that does own currently.

I really want to start using this, if i buy reason 4 now, will i have instant access to the beta or do they just choose certain testers to give access to the download? thanks
 
Well you have to sign up for beta test but i also signed to be a pilot tester as well. For reason 5 i was one of the first 100 people to test the program for bugs and such but they will be addign more people to test the program in the next couple of weeks. So the best thing to is sign up. www.propellerheads.se oh yeah make sure your a registered user as well.

I won't lie vsti are nice I also own pro tools 8 and love xpand 2 .I been trying to use pt as my main daw and rewire reason but work flow aint the same

Reason just brings out the creativity in me

We talking about all these modules and stuff...forget that I need more export options ie; export all selected tracks as wav, or export mono wav files etc, Lol somebody gotta know what Im talking about here.
 
your rite focused, those little things are important..
especially when you have to do a re-format on your computer.. I want to be able to save the beat in a special folder containing all the sounds I used to make up the track, it keeps things organized that way

all that can be done in record right now.

yes but Im definitely not buying record just for those two functions that should be in Reason 5 anyhow.
 
Well maybe the bounce individual tracks is coming I hope
I'd take that over midi out
 
regardless of what they add.. it's most likely something that other software already had for years..
then when those other software update, reason going to be behind again

reason 4 came out in fall of 07, they take 3 years to upgrade, so the upgrades should be major
