Zedd & Hayley Williams - Stay the Night (Roulette Dare Remix) ¡F4F!

Hey guys, I'd love to hear any thoughts on my festival trap remix of Zedd & Hayley Williams' tune Stay the Night.

I've been slamming espresso shots trying to improve my mixing and mastering game, so I'm really interested to hear what you make of that side of things too!

Of course, I'll return all crit, so post your thread links and I'll take a looky at your productions!

I like it. The buildup(and breakdown) is nice even if the chords are a little too loud and cutting through. The melodies and chords have a very "pop" sound(in a good way) and it's a pretty refreshing sound for trap.

Despite the drop being quite cool too, it is VERY heavy in high frequencies. Even the kick feels like it's cutting at 10khz ESPECIALLY in the second drop with the white noise added in. This isn't a problem in the rest of the track because a lot of EDM is high frequency heavy in buildups and breakdowns, but that's because it is usually contrasted with a bass heavy, more scaled down drop. In my opinion, the track could be improved by removing some of the high frequencies in the drop(while keeping the lead synth) and letting the bass explode through the speakers for the duration.

It's still good though, and definitely a cutting edge sound.

This not really my style, so it would be unfair to leave constructive feedback. Keep workin' fam'.

hey thanks alot for your feedback on my track, you helped me alot :D
Unfortunately theres not much i can say to criticize your track, all i can say is that i really really like it, (ive just downloaded it) lol im not a big fan of trap music but i could honestly listen to this over and over
great job

Man this is completely my style! The track starts very nice especially with the complexity in it (The trap thingy). And when the vocal hits dayum son! The background lead is very well used too the panning and reverb are just awesome. But after that when the "Drop" is to the new part @ 0:45, I miss the background ( it is too empty in my opinion) but if this is what you are going for than there is no problem. The build up is very nice! but the kick drop sounds a bit awkward but yet again if this is what you want than there is no problem.

My head was really banging after the drop 1:30 but the vocals could be a harder :3, I think I would definitely put this song in my set when I play these trap remixes like with tsunami (trap remix by lookas etc.) Anyways, I have not one single bad thing to say about this, just keep it up bro I this is a track that defnitely dj's will play (well I would).

The mastering is on the point! very solid :D. I would really appreciate it if you could check my production out too: https://www.futureproducers.com/for...ll-trap-bootleg-feedback-returned-f4f-468454/

Awesome man! You just sent me mad inspiration! Those espresso shots are doing the job this sounds very well mixed. The house synths before the break could maybe be layered a little more strongly, maybe put a low sin behind them. Not much negative to say about this.

And for those who say this isn't my style... You need to appreciate the production for what it is. Maybe you can learn something from other styles and incorporate into your own. Or you can just focus on your one style and post on this site for the rest of your life... (no offense website)

heres my track man check me out

Nice remix my man. Very good composition and the mix is pretty good too. I turn up the 808 in the drop and maybe lower the synth a tad, it is a little harsh sounding and btw Is the lead synth in the drop from nexus hardstyle pack? Sounds familiar haha but very creative nonetheless!

We have similar tastes in producing so feel free to check out the rest of my stuff sometime :)

Cheers for the feedback fellas, really appreciate it. All crit has been noted and returned, as promised!

Nah, initially, I copied the Massive settings of a YouTube tutorial for the synth from ASAP Rocky's track Wild For The Night and then modified it a little.

I'm not too familiar with what type of music this is but honestly dude those vocals are mixed sooo crispy my man and the mix overall is pretty solid in my opinion, like i said i'm not really into this kind of music but i dig this right here, good remix you got. kinda inspires me to wanna produce some trancey kinda techno remixs or whatever kind of music this is instead of just hiphop. But keep it up for real.
