you box the artist out of making money then what the incentive of ****'n with you? it's obvious that it's really just a rappers problem cause you don't see Linkin Park having money issues and they split there's like 4 ways. It's a black music, black artist issue and it's obvious. Even Living Colour and daft punk type groups get a good living without label help. It's sad but there's a way out... Do it for yourself , by yourself. When they come knock'n then tell them what you expect and that's it. If not then go indie and get your two vids an album and tour your a$$ off for a yr. earn 2mill pay out 1.3 mill in bills and stuff and do it 3 more times and smile alot for being smarter then the majors want you to be... Come on guys, it's obvious. There's 20 dope artist in your town waiting to meet a guy who wants to eat out a can for a yr with'em so they can drive a benz later. It's the only way to progress. suffer now and go hard till then... who doesn't think thats about right?

seriously...go head with all the safe, smart guy talk. If you don't have the goods off top then the majors wont care but by the time ur 3 cd's in your past where you started and you'll notice the response difference. it's self-motivational from there...

Being book smart is cool but we all know what a book say's it's what your audience is gonna say that's unpredictable. Why do i feel like the only one who see it like that? Are you guys scared to fail? I wish I could find a unsigned artist that serious enuff to get it done at the pace i work...

there are tons of people with "talent" out there...but they don't have a clue where to start as far as "execution" goes...(i.e., monetization / exploitation of their talent)
