that last song fire
Someone needs to let him know that these songs are wack
maybe.
but they still have a market, right?
Personally, I see a artist who is happy doin what he love to do which at the end of the day is most important, but you can tell he feels a connection wit these tracks, and i think it sounds like it's gonna be a good album in my opinion.
Nobody's puttin a gun to beanie's head and makin him rap over these tracks.. Personally, I see a artist who is happy doin what he love to do which at the end of the day is most important, but you can tell he feels a connection wit these tracks, and i think it sounds like it's gonna be a good album in my opinion. But an executive producer is definitely needed cause you dont want to be surrounded by "yes men" or people who aint gonna give their honest opinion... but i like what i heard **kanye shrug**
Music is about MOVING FORWARD.
The minute you STOP moving forward in the music industry, YOUR CAREER DIES.
Ask Juvenile.
Nowadays your career will die either way unless you are constantly putting out new material, it's just the fast paced age we live in now, people just eat shyt up like pac man, and artist who cant keep up with the pace musically have to revert to publicity stunts just to stay relevent, i remember a time when something big happened, you talked about it for months, nowadays you cant remember what happened last week.
I think troup is on some Executive Producer viewpoints right now. Others are on the artist viewpoint.
To the executive producer the music is only as good as the money it generates.
Music is about MOVING FORWARD
what does that entail?
selling more records?
switching genres?
re-branding yourself?
artist who cant keep up with the pace musically have to revert to publicity stunts just to stay relevant
Ok, so like switch ups instead of 4 bar loops? Just wondering.
What?? We're not talking about BEATS. We're talking about his entire approach to making music.
Soul samples are fine if that's what he wants to do. But approach them in an innovative way. He's looping soul over simplistic drum beats. The same way it's been done for 20 years.
Has to be something different.
Although I'd recommend something entirely different for him.
