so who on this site has gotten placements through PMP so far?

What if you don't get any placements from the tracks you submitted?

What if the A&R doesn't have an artists that fit your style... right now?

What if he subscribes to your page... and ends up having an artist
that your style works well with... in the future...

Why do you think he/she subscribed to your page in the first place?

The songs that made them subscribe could eventually be a good mesh for a person the A&R might come across and work with...

I think the site is only going to grow because of the ease of use and buyers being able to subscribe to producers they like... all of the contact info is linked right to the songs, they can send the producer a message right then and there...

What if you cancel your account?

Lot of what if's... more good than bad.

plus it's all producers, no rappers, rnb singers, poets...

There should be one for quality SIGNED / Unsigned rappers though... like have the rappers upload accapellaz that they need remixed or something... no freestyles and crap... just thinking out loud. No one would submit some half-ass-ted flow for $50... well I hope not.

Long Live The PMP

That's a great idea! I like making beats so much better when I have a vocal track to work with.

Me too.

... maybe $100 for rappers though... if you've ever listened to unsigned emcee's... you know why.

They still out number producers 10 to 1 probably...

i think that unsigned rapper idea would turn PMP into a gimmick......

i think its fine as is.......

a little off topic. i was wondering what browsers those of you on pmp use because i tried to upload a few of my mp3's but it wouldn't recognize it (same with bebo). after awhile i closed firefox and opened ie7 and lo and behold it worked (so did bebo). i'm tryin' to figure out if pmp isn't optimized for firefox or is it my firefox, with various add ons, that's effin' up mp3 uploads to certain sites.

note: no prob with most sites

Im using IE for pmp and FP and firefox for everything else... I HATE IE and I ****ING HATE MYSPACE MORE. If I load myspace ONCE with a flash player on it (e.g every fuuking page) It has some object error and closes IE :@ But anyway Yeah I use IE for pmp and never got a problem. I up everything in IE

Upped to PMP w/firefox no problems here before ... Maybe you
have an older version of Flash try updating it to the latest.

So Riggs made a video pushing PMP and he's the name, along with conrad, that I see coming up the most for subscribers. Makes me wonder if there ain't a network of folks set up to keep stringing people along.

Hmmm interesting thought...

^Never really thought of that either...

You never want to think that people are shady and just trying to screw you over... but that's the way the world is...not everyone, but some people are

i dont think thats the case ... i am a featured producer and neither riggs or conrad is in my list of subscribers..... ive had my page for about 2 months give or take

Well legally they wouldnt because alot of people would be going to jail. Fraud/Misinterpretation etc etc.. and I would say that it is what it is. I doubt they would pay a label head to say **** they dont mean altho advertising have been doing this for years and years lol.. endorsing cars etc that I never seen them driving lol..

I did think it kind of funny that I got a subscription from Lenny Santiago (or whateve rhis name is). My music doesn't fit ANY of the artists that he has worked with (in the past) or is working with right now (to my knowledge). I think some of these A&R's DO have money invested in this. I remember reading that Conrad from Bad Boys was one of the guys who helped start up PMP.

well if you think some big name a&r dude is watching your page, the natural inclination is to get your hopes up and keep that page there at all costs. I'm not saying it's a scam either, just business, so there's no fraud there. It's just like when car lots or restaurants hire beautiful girls and tell them to act interested to keep customers coming in.

 ouch

Are you fools actually SERIOUS??

Riggs Morales is MAJOR in this game. He's the EXECUTIVE VP OF A&R OF SHADY RECORDS!!! He's a BIG COG in the INTERSCOPE MACHINE!! Why would he mix himself up in dirty business like that???

Conrad, Lenny, Riggs...all of them are about LEGITIMATE BUSINESS. What you people don't understand is that in the music business, your NAME is the most important asset you have. Once that's trashed, it's a wrap for you.

If you all knew what you were talking about and knew ANYTHING about the business side of the music, you'd know the history of the people you are "accusing" of being dirty. You'd know that these people were successful way before PMP came along. You'd know these people's reputations, and you'd realize that they wouldn't be willing to soil those reputations for a few thousand dollars.

Y'all got alot to learn. ALOT to learn. Y'all wanna be in this industry, and y'all trashing the very people who you pretty much HAVE to deal with if you want to do ANYTHING in this game.

Riggs Morales= Shady = Aftermath = Interscope = Universal
Conrad Dimanche = Bad Boy = Atlantic = Warner Brothers
Lenny Santiago = Def Jam = Universal

umm...news flash...the above IS the WHOLE major label music industry. Better watch who you're talking about. The internet is FOREVER.

For some reason...

I've never seen a thread trashing the site in this link...

... but the minute someone caters a similar service to hip hoppers...

"They gettin' my $50! my bus pass is about to expire... I need to hear something"

"They in this together! They're are in cohoots! Who is Future? is he with a major?"

"Anybody got placements, I joined last week! and haven't heard from Diddy!"

you're not using common sense. PMP is a business, if there is a network profiting from it, they can make it flourish as they see fit. Just like Spliff, he'll take anyone's dough, wack or not, string them all along, and guess what, actually get major placements for the good ones. So the PMP system tell's you you're hot (without wanting any of your tracks) put's your tracks up on feature, treats the mediocre the same as the the greats because they all got the same green. You sound like the fool to not understand business. Nothing corrupt or fraudulent about these guys subscribing to producers they haven't the slightest interest in. Nothing to tarnish their name. Just enough to keep your account active.
