Slow down, don't be quick to hate. I am a fan of music and I like hearing other producers work, and I examine the mixes of more profound producers on the website to get an idea of how they sound.

Completely agree...hearing some more industry quality mixes helped me understand the problems in my own mixes. I am also a fan of music in general and enjoy hearing what other people have created. But at the same time yes people should not get caught up in other peoples work, and concentrate on doing their thing.

Well put, basically PMP is becoming a very professional market place for the production side of the game, and I am happy with my "purchase" so far.

****, i'd join up and let the chips fall as the may. the only thing stoppin' me is that i've never effed with credit cards and i don't have a sponsored debit card, just a regular atm card so my only option is to take the 6 month plan via paypal. right now i can't afford to spend that + the currency exchange rate 'cause i'm supposed to go to engineering school this july and need every penny i can spare (goodbye cable, hello lowest tier net service).

but i'm well and tempted and might revert back to my old self ;)
get a prepaid credit card.

can you guys show me some "industry" beats on PMP
all I hear is some mediocre stuff.

i tried but i guess my bank saw that i wasn't gettin' a check from the job i was layed off from anymore so they ain't givin' me **** right now. this is now the third time that i regret hatin' on credit cards all my life, but i got an interview this monday, so hopefully i can fool them into hiring me.

man I hope they're looking for some new ideas on PMP and not the same old crap recycled... but you really cant lose much, whats $50 bucks... an average night at the bar?

That site will get flooded soon, I'm glad I caught it somewhat early... the featured beats are ok... nothing special... nothing I havent heard...

The track dump feature is probably the best idea of that site.

I should make a similar website and start a label just taking beats from that site... wouldnt that be easy? You dont even have to shop around... you just make a track dump and listen to the first 10 seconds of a track and if you like it you show it to your artists and if you dont you go on to the next. Gotta love the laziness...

You gotta love the 3rd person descriptions of the producers... classy! That basically means they have enough money to hire someone to write stupid ish about them as if they had music in their genes or they have gotten coverage in a magazine and just used that... even better are the descriptions of their tracks... fuggin brainless idiots. Things like "HARD KNOCKING BANGA" (the shouting occurs, too) really have market appeal.

**** commercialism, but I need to feed my illegitimate children somehow...

PROT (shout!)

Yeah, I kinda wonder what's going to happen when the track dumps get up to like... 500 submissions or some astronomical number.

.... but I don't wonder much. lol.

New joint this weekend... (sounds like Beastie Boys' Paul Revere so far...)

All i know if it comes to that, folk better have some REALLY GOOD intros.

*beat comes on*

One high string/clap/solo kick

*next track please*

... on another note.

It's pretty sad that people are signing up as buyers... knowing they aren't going to buy anything.

wow...sounds like someone is hating on the English skills. Don't get mad because some people paid attention in school.

Everything on my page came strictly from me. I don't have to hire nobody to write about me.

It's called a BIO. Maybe you'll need one one day.

Maybe.

Oh...und den vocals an deine remixes sind OFFBEAT AS HELL! Handle that, playa.

PM me when you post that. I definately want to hear that.

I know imma get BLASTED for this but something seemes VERY strange about Tiffany Miranda's video...

If you look closely it like she wasnt really familiar with "her Own" gear! the clip shows her hitting keys and drum pads but not starting the sequencer or stopping it. It's almost as if someone PLACED her there, started the metronome, ran of screen and told her to hit some keys and pads...notice how one on the drum sounds triggered TWICE and she totally ignored it...

Even when she was in the booth with the set up she "Designed", I dont recall her ever TOUCHING the Mouse or Keyboard...and she was paying TOO much attention to the camera to be advertising her "Production" skills...

She just didn't look comfortable around the gear...she acted more like it belonged to someone else than acting like it was "HERS"....

I hope this is NOT the case....

Lol, I dropped out in 10th grade and how to write a Bio. You learn that in elementary don't you?

If you wanna make it in this business, you gotta learn to market yourself, when someone buys your music, they're ultimately buying because of you. If Swizz Beats wasn't Swizz beats, he couldn't sell a drumline and whistle for $50,000. "Bio Coming Soon" and "Beat 1, Beat 2, Beat 3" is not marketing yourself as someone who wants to forward your career.

I should stop helping people further themselves. Now everyone's gonna have bios and beat descriptions and just make the whole idea cliche'.

And Troup, real talk, no b.s. I took the time to listen to the beats on the pmp homepage only 2 were impressive enough I wanted to know about the artists who made them and click to see who they were. One was the guy who produced a track on 8 mile, forgot his name, the other was you. It surprised me when I clicked and it went to your page.

I just signed up on the 31st of May and got a subscription from Johnny E of J Records the same day. I see alot of talk on here about signing up as a buyer just to "listen to the competition." Personally I'm not doing it because I try not to worry about what other people are doing and just do me but every now and again I listen to 2 or 3 featured tracks on the main page just because I'm a fan of music and to see what kind of tracks are featured
