I've never read a book about producing, but looks like its worth and i should try, lol.

That's right hungry little grasshopper's, eat from the field of knowledge and information. It's time to fill yourselves with information that will help you create better content for your audience. Some of you will persist until you get what you desire. Others of you will desire until you persist. It's time to decide if you'll continue to improve, achieve your goals, and make a living doing what you love or do something else.

What's your favorite thing to do, huh? Find a way to make money doing more of that, as long as doing so doesn't intentionally cause harm, or hurt to anyone else. Unless they're asking or begging for it and you're up to the challenge. These choices are up to you.

Be honest with yourself and God. Align your thought with your actions and increase humanity, starting with yourself. Learn the necessary skills now so you can become more creative today. If you're ready to take that step from novice to pro, get at me @proproducer or Like the facebook page. I'm always down for helping Future Producers.

Check out Battle 4 Exposure when you're ready to take advantage of #real opportunity, because she likes it #realtalk

I read the book "The complete Idiot guide for music composition " and I can really recommend it. The author's writing in a very simple language, so a newbie con understand all the things he's writing about. The chapters were segregated from the easiest ones to the hardest so there propably would'nt be any problems with understanding :)

Thanks for all this info I just got 3 books on production but it looks like I got some more coming down the line.

I have read a couple of those books when I first started learning theory. Good books

a big issue seems to be actually finding work and making money. The video game industry brings in 4 times that of the Film, TV and Radio industries combined. Yes, it sounds crazy but I starting to get some paying gigs after reading the "Insiders Guide to Music and Sound for Mobile Games" - it's a great guide and can be found over at gameaudio101.com

tj

a good book is modern recording techniques. I forgot the author but its a MUST!!!

anything from jeffrey p fisher is a must have. it's mostly on the biz side

I love reading to death...please somebody inbox good music and dj production books or mags. ;)

ugh...i hate reading, but if its interesting, ill give it a shot

Def give a look at Michael Hewitt's trilogy. Music Theory for Computer Musicians, Composition for Computer Musicians, and Harmony for Computer Musicians. Great stuff if you're just starting out, and all geared toward electronic music. Uses a lot of examples with the piano roll and really easy to read, nothing overly-complicated.

+1 Think and Grow Rich - Napoleon Hill

Practical Studio Techniques by Dr. Tom Misner
Logic Pro 9 Audio and Music Production - Mark Cousins - very thorough book on everything Logic 9.

What I've found is, books that have nothing to do with music, will help you become a better musician

sounds about right...
