That's cool. When I'm not using Reason, I use Rapture a lot. I also use Analog. Analog is a two oscillator Subtractive synth (just like Subtractor). The GUI is just like Operator, but the sounds are different.

Sylenth and Operator are two completely different animals. It would be difficult if not impossible to get the sounds you have in Sylenth out of Operator.

Yeah, I guess synths like Thor and Sylenth is the one for me. But I sometimes use Operator also, like for brass and string synth sounds, I never used it for bass though. :)

we all need to stop debating, ReWire Reason w/ a host that's running a VSTi, and w/ one single keyboard key, trigger BOTH the Reason device AND the VSTi SIMULTANEOUSLY...

(still trying to figure out how to do this, actually)

for reals...is there a way to play BOTH at the same time using ONE MIDI controller???
its very possible in most daws idk about all its just midi routing

Nah man if I sell the MPC guess who is going to buy it? YOU  and you're going to give me $600 hunnit for it my dude or else! lol

From all the excitement I feel burnt out, I am going to lay down and watch Gold Member lol Props is literally filling my veins with digital drugs lol

hell no i am trying to sell mine

reason and record is ahead of the all daw as far as stability and being user friendly and compact files. and simplicity. and the ssl mixer alone is better than all other daws on the market.

Yes

i hope reason improves the saving options
fl studio you can save files as zips, that option comes in handy just in case you delete a folder containing a sound that's in your beats

YES, I HATE that you can't export each track individually. Isn't that a BASIC feature?

lol @ how close I was to the announcement while just joking being a dyck. blocks? Just label each section of your song and highlight the entire group of tracks from the section you want to copy.

I'm studying this Reason 5 update, because i'm still a believer that Reason 3 was > Reason 4 and in all honesty, I'd still be happy using 3. If this update doesn't start shaping up, I'm gonna lose faith in Reason. Maybe day 5 will be Vst/Rtas support with a big "f**k u" message attached(Even if only available in Record, I'd be an instant fan). That would shut us all up.

I'm very underwhelemed by what prop is showing us with reason 5.

Octorex would impress me if it could read .wav and aif loops the same way FL Slicer could. But then they would be able to sell ReCycle, lol. Goes back to my prior post of being more excited if the revamped Recycle to do more.

Now I'll just have 8 slots I never use in a new instrument. Maybe the NNXT will get the same type makeover.

YES Why do they always insist on not working with other formats? It will be their downfall.

Yes

Not when you bundle with Record aka Reason 4.5 but will probably be included in the new update

Your opinion, many feel differently

I can't believe the absurdity of this statement. The co creators of the "Rewire protocol and creator of .rex is the other format". The highest selling music software must now bow down before thee and accept every rtas, vst, au dxi and whatever else format is out there?

Rubbish!

Cocaine will be your downfall

No sign of chopping samples then

Now that Sampling feature seems tight. Just wish the went in more details with what all it will be able to do. Can it chop?

in the words of annie...

"the sun will come up tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar"...

besides making nice software Props really knows how to market their products...

but behind their marketing you must do it their way (i.e. not vsti, no midi out, must pay extra for recycle, etc)...

i guess it is all cool because their products are nice...

You're right about that. I thought I was going to be the last person to every use Reason. Started last March and once I watched a couple of videos and talked to some already Reason users I tried it for myself. The fact that it was so simple to use had me sold. And now with Record I can use my Fantom again!!!! It doesnt take much to make me happy!

what makes the Record/Reason combo so nice is that it is for all levels from beginners to intermediates to season veterans...

again, i think their slogan should be "one company, one program (record and reason as one) and one production station"...

Sampling in Reason is cool :) I think I will purchase a couple os shakers and percussion joints from Sam Ash they are pretty cheap on those, and Use my Neumann Mike to record them when I am rocking a track. If guys were talking about this to get rid of my MPC, NOT!

I don't do a whole lot of sampling, I sample myself so...........

I just thought of something if you can sample into Reason using a mic on instruments can you do vocals too? LOL I mean it depends on how long it lets you sample for? So there is recording after all in Record now,. hmmmmmmmmmmm It will just be in the sampler?

its more than just sampling into record because you can edit that sample as well. lol but yes there is more. all im going to say danoc is there is another stretch feature. lol. and massive donkey kong issue.

i wish the video would have been more about the feature instead of them just recording samples for like 3 minutes

i been wanting a pitch detection function in reason so thats dope they put that into it.

i believe they dabbled in this feature in the nnxt but i never found it that accurate.

the mpc is a dated instrument. yes, i do own one and will never sell it because of its place in music history...

but fl studio, ableton live, cubase, maschine, etc kills the mpc...

we can sit and argue all day about mpc -vs- you fill in the blanks...

all i am saying to go to the akai website and see what products they are pushing the most...
