Thanks, I've actually added quite a bit of gear, my XBox 360 is getting fixed so that will be up, and I am filling up the 8 space tabletop rack slowly but surely. So, I will have some updated pics up soon.

The good thing about those black desks is they can easily be taken apart and arranged in different ways.

Okay, I have mostly everything I want in terms of music gear, so here is my studio with it all:

My desk with Event ALP 5 monitors, M-Audio Axiom 25 MIDI keyboard, Dell Inspiron E1505 with Ableton 6, desktop computer for everyday stuff, and HP NX6110 laptop for my decks (mostly for loopers when I'm at home, it's my school laptop though).

My three turntables and two mixers, as well as some records.

Close up pic of Vestax PDX-2000MKII Pro with M44-7, and Numark Pro SM-1 mixer with Pro X Fade.

My black 1200s with Ortofon Concorde Q-berts and Rane TTM 56 mixer.

My Numark banner with some of more records and most of my toy collection, if you want a close up of anything, tell me.

Enjoy.

I use to own that SM-1 when they were first released way back when. What a damn solid mixer that thing is.

Monitors are a bit high but it looks like a comfortable workspace.

I like to move around alot, but the listening "sweetspot" works fine. I also use headphones for recording/mixing.

I was gonna say the same thing. Have you ever thought about bringing them down to ear level??

1.) Yeah, I love my G5, It runn's smooth, no hang-ups or program issues. I've been running Pro Tools since 6.4 and now runnin 7.3.1 with no issues.

2.) Also, running a Spectrum CUBE-1100 PC, got it back in March of this year, and after 3 weeks, it reminded me why I switched to a Mac.

3.) Like I stated earlier, I like to move around. My studio is acoustically treated, I like to go from sitting to standing, so I have monitors in both positions. If you look at the pictures, you'll noticed that I do have monitors at "ear-level". Listen to the tracks that I have up, & you'll see that the set-up works fine for me.

4.) Client's like the set-up, because like me, like like to move around & listen to the mix, so in this respect, they (the monitors) are at ear-level.

makes sense yo and you're right I do see the monitor off to the left at ear level. It didn't really catch my eye the first time, all I could see was the larger monitors

Thanks, we all half to find methods & set our studio up for the way we work, because we all hear things differently. I've pretty much like everyone's set-up that I've seen, just a pet-peve on mine's though; I notice that ALOT of you guys have hundreads to thousands of dollars of equipment, on $20.00 surges.... this never has & never will makes since to me. Invets in protecting your equipment, Furman's, MOnster Power, etc., make great & afforable surges, that not only protect your equipment, but helps increase the sound quality.

Just my dollar.

Peace,

L.A.

Noted. Many thanks for the heads up as I am definitely guilty of this. I plan on re-doing a few small things like this when I move here in a few months.

Not, problem... sorry for the mis-spelled words.
