I've been looking for a shelf\table like the one where you keep your 1200's on. Where'd you get it?

I built it myself. It was real simple, took about 2 hours to cut, build, and stain. Want the specs?

I also built the shelf for the 7"s. Both are real handy and cheap. The one for the turntables cost me about $20 and the 7" about $5.

48" long
30" tall
16.5" deep

I built it out of scrap plywood and put it together with 3" black screws. I used 11 peices of plywood in all, but if you can, id just use 5. The black top is some engineered board from Lowes that I got for about $12. Screws were about $3 and stain was $4. Took about 2 hours to cut and peice together, and then another hour to stain. I put the top peice on last after it was dry. The thing weighs a ton though, and it is super sturdy. 12" vinyl fits in it great. Let me know if you need a more detailed explanation, im happy to help.

Thanks for that. But, I don't see how you used 11 pieces of wood. Can you also tell me if the table shakes at all while sifting through records?

This is gonna be kind of tough for me. I haven't built anything out of wood before. don't even have a good drill. How thick is the wood? You think I can just go to Home Depot and have them make the cuts for me?

I just bought a load of new sh!t from Ikea for my decks, but once I got home I decided I didn't like it. I can not be bothered to drive all the way back (never mind re-pack it), so instead im a gonna do a little "modifying" of my own. I'll post up some pics when im done. I cant wait, haven't had my decks set up for ages!

Now.... where did I put that jigsaw?

P.S Nice to see you back Deflation, vinyl collection gets bigger and bigger!
