how works the denon DN 4000 for you?

originally had a denon 2500f (which i should have kept) but sold that for denon dns 3000's....i really wasn't feeling those so i sold those and got the 4000....i am very happy with 4000 (price is great to)... only complaint is no key control =(

mezma that desk is so nice, seriously. How much work did you have to put into it?

Here's mine:

Allen & Heath xone:92
Technics SL1210M5Gs
Pioneer CDJ-1000MK2s

I'm currently evaluating fx units to go to the left of the mixer, but it'll be a while before I can afford one.

And no, the awful curtains weren't my choice, they're my landlord's and I'm moving out soon so I'm not replacing them.

did you build the shelf system?

No, it's actually a standard unit from Deconomix, although I specified the colour, installed the rackmount rails in the top-centre compartment and added the sefour CD bracket to the top.

Cheers for the feedback, it's certainly getting towards my ultimate setup now.

Thats a pretty cool store there. Of course, I like my own homemade peice:

I dont have anything for it yet, but it can hold up to 700 records, its
48 inches long (121 cm), 30.5 inches tall (77.5 cm), and 17.5 inches deep (44.5 cm).

But yours looks hella nice. Mine was just only $12, and about 2 hours of work. :)

By the way, is that a lamp on your records? That would seem like a great idea.

G-T..wow...nice kit. Xone:92 very nice. And CDJs? dang. :)

Deflation...still always cool to see your setup. :)

Just thought Id update some pics. Got my new Craig Stereo system. Main reason I got it is cause its the only thing Ive ever found that runs 78 rpm, and its also mint condition. A beautiful thing. It also has a built in radio and cassete player. Im a radio junkie and have been using it non stop for the past week or so.

From the door. Its small, but comfortable, and everything is within arms reach.

Couple of my records and a dog peeing on my lamp.

Some more of my records and my new Craig stereo stuff. I love this thing!

GT- Do you use the CDJ's to scratch? If so, how do you do it with them hanging up there? Sweet setup though.

Deflation- I noticed your stars and bars on the wall and the NC flag beside it (with the Wolfpack finger too). What city you in? I used to live in NC, but I live in TN now. I swear I'm not a stalker, but I was beginning to think that all the posters here were Aussie or from the UK. By the way, go Heels. hehehe

I never really scratch seriously, just the odd backspin here and there, that kinda thing. You can just about scratch with them up there though, the stand is pretty sturdy. I'm just useless at scratching / happy with blending.

I've got a copy on my PC and I've been playing around a bit with acapellas and things, I'm hoping to get to use it a bit more over the summer. Using it with the MIDI on the Xone seems to work well though.

I've just changed my headphones to HD25s as my Pioneers died in the middle of a mix two weeks ago - I think I can fix them, it's just the wire inside the headband. Really like the HD25s though, seem much more comfortable than the Pioneers, especially as I wear glasses.

Yeah, I've got two small lamps from IKEA on the unit, they give just enough light when we have house parties to let me turn the main room lights off and still find records / prevent people walking into stuff.
Cheers
