ya i agree man..i like the "battle look" lol if that makes sense..just the tables on a table and wires all over the place..

although i really dont have a choice...but i did make a homemade coffin once and i didnt really like it..but i wud like individual turntable cases and the mixer elevated ..that wud be sweet..

just rambling..dope set ups

hey Clay !
you're setup looks nice ! where do you play out usually ?
where did you buy your denon players ?
i'm from canada too and i'm looking for a dj equipment retailer that won't rip me off. If you got any tips, let me know...
anyway, PM me when you have a chance..

cheers,
mike

Hey
I will get a pic soon. this is what I have

2 Technics mk2's
2 Pro Scratch 1 CD player
1 Stanton RM-100 Mixer
Cases
Records
Sony Headphones, and a kick ass desk for it all

Great setups everyone, esp you Yit-Erp. When i get a digicam i'll take some snapshots. nothing too spiffy, 2x mkII's and a dx500 (mixer for sale anyone?) but I do have a gem in my entertainment center that will make a few mouths water.

Later, keep it up

sweet setups everyone

yo folks, you can tell how much of an obsession this music thing is for people like us... so much fun too...

i'm just finishing up my custom built table and will be hopefully able to post pix by the weekend... although i may need some help as i don't have my own website...

the shots from the dualsf site was very much inspiring and i'll be trying to incorporate some of the same elements...

so far the gear i have to accomodate is:
2 1200s
1 cdj700
1 mc303
1 x:one02
a whole bunch of records
a whole bunch of cds
and a monitor speaker

it would be nice to get a little sampler to do some krush style scratches to layer over top of beats... i'm guessing the sp303 is the best quality/ease of use/budget out there?

later skaters
:monkey:

Just had to post in this thread since I just got my new customised slipmats!

Fairly standard setup really,
2x SL1210 Mk2
Rane TTM52
2x Shure M447 (don't find them quite as good as I thought they might be...maybe it's my rickety table though!)
2x Ortofon CC DJ-S (for recording)
and the milkcrates...I'm pretty tall so it just brings everything up to where I can reach :D

Finally...

After a whole bunch of profanity, I finally figured out how to get photos on the net. There is just one up now, and it is not the best, but it should give you the idea of what is going on right now. I will put some more pics up later if I am up to it...

EDIT:
Forgot to mention what you are looking at...

3x1200 variants (Outside 2 with Mk5G emulation mod)
3xEQ killers (with space for #4)
1xDenon s5000
1xRedsound Cycloops
1xRane MP 2016
1xSennheiser HD 280

I am waiting to order the XP unit for the mixer which will fit in the rack space above, and there are six additional space of rack for me to fill as I please. The cross-like cutout around the mixer is so I can drop a Xone 62 (or DJM 600) in there instead of a 19" (six racks space or less) mixer. When I am all done, I am going to paint it a mirror maroon, black, or white (help me decide!), and then move on to console 2.

Thanks guys! I am glad you like it.

Chopper: If you look close in some of my pics, you see the same speakers. I love them too. :)

Adam - those milk crates don't look very stable

You'd be surprised; they haven't moved at all from that position since I put them there a couple of years ago! I think it's a combination of the friction between the table/crates and the sheer weight of each TT that keeps them fixed. The table's not the best though, I'd rather have a shelf fixed into the wall but I'm in a rented place and I don't think my landlord would go for it! :)

Adam- Not trying to be a jerk, just looking out for your gear... Is there any way you could fit a third crate on there for your mixer? I ask this for many reasons. 1. Resting the mixer on your tables will eventually scratch your decks a lot. 2. You may not be getting the skip resistance that you want because when you are banging around the cross fader, that vibration may also be going to the turntable. 3. There is not a lot of room on the sides of the 1200, and if you hit the mixer just a little bit either way, you could make teh mixer contact one of the platters, causing the tech to do some bad stuff...
