*You just can't hate on Timbaland. Krushing gives opinions that I personally respect - he's helped me out with equipment, and his views are always humble and NEVER biased. (Props where props are due...) - Is Timbaland trash? No. I don't care how many keyboards you own... how many VSTs you've bought - it takes that special 'something' to make your music sound right... and that's exactly what he does. Revolutionary... I'd say not at all. Kanye West, Just Blaze, Timbaland... nobody's really bringing something to the table that's never been heard before, SOUND-WISE. Kanye's newest album had some pretty original beats... but they were only original in terms of Kanye's previous albums. Were they were constructed well - yes... were the sounds something you've never heard before? No. Keep in mind that we're all to an extent using the same equipment... nobody's sitting on a 1 of 1 keyboard with 1,000 exclusive sounds that humans have never heard before... so you can't really discredit somebody's sounds in my opinion, (or knock the fact that they're using something familiar.) This is where I agree with Krushing - he's great at putting his music together, but at the end of the day - nothing he's doing deserves the title 'revolutionary.' I personally feel like he's killin' it hit-wise, but who cares lol. Hits are hits... they're usually made to be corny and catchy, and he definently accomplishes that. In a nutshell - Timbaland is nice, he's earned his rank... he's a great producer, but in my opinion - it's nothing to drop your jaw over. Buy yourself a Roland V-Synth - and watch how easy it is to make a tight synth beat melody for melody...
