That's what i don't get. Why do you even mind the e-fights then...why did you answer every single post of this hater dude.
Just let him talk.
I gotta be honest, this hole e-fight 60 page thread thingy doesn't make you look very professional.
Not trying to knock or anything...just saying.
I couldn't agree more. All this hollerin' you're doing with these crazy font's and getting mad at people for critiqing your business that you constantly promote including in this thread repeatedly, all just makes you sound ridiculous.
And I would be lying if I said that there isn't any validity to what has been said about this situation and really it all comes down to what you've been doing.
None of us came looking for you...you came looking for us. Now you can say that maybe we're not your target audience and you don't care what we think or do, but that again is just something that maybe you aren't executing right when you are promoting your business.
I think your actions contradict a lot of what you've said in this thread and in others recently and your website itself contradicts what you say you are doing.
I think the best thing would be to stop responding to posts like these and just get back to work. As you can see from the number of posts I've made since I've been a member, it's easy to tell that I work more than I talk. And when I do talk, it is very specific and almost 100% never self-promotional.
I literally look at this website as a place where there are thousands trying to do the same thing I am doing at this very same moment in time. I assume they are going through the same struggles that I am and have the same goals that I do. Maybe the route that we take to reach those goals are different because of our own personal preferences, but at the end of the day, I come to this website for only 2 reasons...
1. To conversate with other people that are also attempting to become financially stable on music and music alone...
2. To provide my knowledge on music production to those that ask specific questions that I feel can't be answered entirely by a quick search.
Now, I'm not saying you aren't doing the same thing because I think it's great that your post up your mix sessions for people and such.
But I do have to say that there is a problem here with your ability to take criticism and the way you give criticism to some people (based on the complaints we keep hearing and quotes that have been posted up).
It's completely unprofessional, yet we all can tell everything you're trying to do is pressing for that professional vibe. That is based on the "qualifications" you posted up on who is allowed to critique you lol. Now I know you didn't SAY "this is who is allowed to critique me", but that is how people are going to take it. And that's just something that seems to be way over your head.
Like the many who already pointed this out, I'm going to add that this is all a part of our society. It's how things work. You promote, it's going to get attention. But it's up to YOU what kind of attention. And it really is ridiculous to blame the kind of attention you're getting on the people giving it to you, which I know you never said you blamed anyone for anything, but it's still just how people are going to (obviously already have) read your posts.
So like I said...I'd just get back in the studio and stop commenting on posts like these and even this one. Stop telling the people who already don't like you what you're doing or what you're not doing or telling them you're not going to tell them anything or whatever. If you're not going to tell them anything then why post anything at all instead of avoiding questions or pointing fingers or posting up someone else's quotes to show them where they f'd themselves in their argument. It all just irrelevant and just not a good look at all. I'm going to give you the best advice you've ever gotten from anyone on this site if you actually listen for once...
Just stop man. Work on your music and let that speak as your credits instead of posting up foggy details about your publishing deal with blah blah. (Don't know how you let someone do that to you in the beginning anyway).
If you have a problem with anything I said then you PM me instead of posting your business up in front of everyone to read like some springer show. Same with anyone else who has problems in here with someone in paticular. Message them. Why risk you sounding like you're getting mad at an avatar on the Internet? Because even when YOU don't think you sound mad, ignorant, indulgent whatever, someone else will when it comes to commenting on posts like these. It's not helping anyone, especially yourself.
I try my best to stick with my two reasons why I come here and it has kept me out of trouble for the most part.
There might not be a such thing as bad publicity but there is a such thing as public perception...You don't sound too happy with yours right now and I hope you don't sit there and say "I don't care." because it's business. Hopefully this sh!t only happens to you on this website and you are professional in your other ventures. Does seem that way when I watched a couple shows.
I hope you listen...peace
