I just think it goes to far when people let it run their lives and it takes a part in every single little thing a person does . . . Some poeple just get over obsessed and god just has to be behind every little single thing that happens in their life.

Its not an issue of hating gay people its about what the bible says about sin. that means whatever sin. we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. God created all people and all people sin! the thing is to get folks to repent and turn from their ways.

The Bible says:

OMISSION: James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

IGNORANCE: Luke 12:47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
2 Thess. 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Psalm 19:12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

Noone can judge but we all know when sin is commited but i can sentence u to some time, God can. Hez did more than be gay. He cheated on his wife and thats wrong. He lied to his congregation and said that he wasnt gay. thats sin. and now he is quiting, yet another sin of disobedience. God told him to do a work and he is sinning without repentance, he is in trouble!

sorry but christianity is at fault here he probably grew up in a religious family and he had to hide his gayness. That's why i hate religion it's a waste of time and money in my opnion.

I applaud you for you staying true to your religion while under the eyes of doubt and slander. I am a religious man, just not in a christian way. I consider myself a buddhist, but I belive in a supreme creator and that life has a set of rules to follow. However, I do not belive in the christian god, or any mainstream or underground religion. I have witnessed much blind hatred in the religions, and I don't think man's interpretation of god can be held as a pristine example to follow. As man's word is tainted. Man is hate, misunderstanding, and harsh, unjust judgement. I think that man is clouded "by the devil" (greed and hate). Even the bible says that man isn't god, but rather was created in the image of god.

I'm not saying you're wrong. Truth is that we ALL could be wrong. What you have to do to escape "Hell's Wrath" is to be fair, do not judge, and just be a person who keeps the big picture in mind. The picture being that we are all one and can not escape our suffering without first ridding ourself of hate.

Just a thought...
