I'm not saying it's a negative thing, but focus energies into things that actually matter.

There's no point in having everybody judge artwork when 80% of their opinions won't matter anyway.

Concentrate on the most important part...the music.

Exactly. Good job on the artwork. Keep the designs coming. The first is approaching but take your time and make sure the track's quality is top notch. DONT RUSH IT!

I just got one from H&R. Cracka-Jack, you can throw that on SC when you get a chance.

Im assuming, but not positive, that most are like me and bringing brand new tracks, and possibly get them mastered, which takes time. Props to those of you who had stuff on deck already that you felt was ready for submission.

Keep in mind the deadline is still a couple of weeks away.
 
im in the process of writing songs. (senior project, making an entire cd myself, with a few "guest spots") so im tenative on how exactly this is gonna get done.

ill throw that track up, this time, I wont allow Mp3. :rolleyes:
 
by the way i'm getting a website setup, i'm in a hosting flux at the moment and i'm going to host it off my site since i don't have enough money to pay for 2 sites, when it's ready i will send the link to you kontak and whoever else is heading this project.

You guys are complicating this too much. Just get one track from the top five or ten hottest producers on here (you guys know who they are). And surely they can get some hot artist to rap on the beats.

As for the remaining ten or five, just have different producers post their HOTTEST beats for a week. Have three judges judge them...and there you go. (Please select judges who are not partial and have tastes for all kinds of music.)They are some good rappers and singers on this site too.

The point is to simplify it. Don't complicate it with too many "ticky-tack" rules.

P.S. If somebody approach me on the street and asks if I would buy a cd for $7 with a bunch of people I haven't heard of...I'll say "Good luck with the project" and keep walking.

No samples??? WOW...Kanye, Just Blaze, Heatmakerz......anyone?? *dies*

If that is your marketing approach, then you are certain to fail. Id walk past him too. Thanks for the input though.
 
OK, so how are you planning to market the mixtape Kontak? Maybe you can teach me some marketing schemes. Real talk.
