*Official Future Producer's Mixtape Thread*

Alright people. First thing's first...we need an official title for this project and a deadline. Any ideas?



Ps. Could any moderator stick this up?
 
yea well i think a deadline like June this year is fairly reasonable. I think a title parodieing a album title is funny like "Turn Off The Radio or Die Tryin", "What The Game's Really Been Missing", "What Should Be On The Radio", "Working On The Bottom of The Game", "The War on Willy Wonka", "Best Outta The Bedroom" and finally "Digging 4 Life". i know some of those suck bad

Alright we'll have a deadline of June.I like the title of "Get Free or Die Trying". If anyone agrees I need yay or nay.
 
How bout flippin a hip hop quote like "I push tracks like weight" or some ****.
 
This thread was pointless. Everything said upto now could have been posted in the thread that already exists. Maybe if you had more information to tell people and something to say then that it would have made sense but why did you just make this thread now?

We need some concrete ideas first. This isnt the first FP collab idea that has come up.

Alright...feel free to scrap this one...it is kind of pointless. Where is the other one located.
 
A few trusted members should be chosen to take full control of the project and have the final decision on everything. You will have to be SERIOUS about the project.

I certainly could not handle all that.

Also, 3-5 judges should be chosen.

If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else to be either a judge or someone trusted to have complete control over the project, then post their member name and a reason why you are nominating them/yourself.

No disrespect, but you havent been around here long enough. A project of this magnitude, trusting someone else with your music, would only be sensible to have a board that the majority has faith in that they wont **** them or their music over. BTW, Im not nominating myself, but would be willing to help if need be.
 
FP is one of the most useful of networking tools available. So with that being said, to get the wheel in motion we need to make a list of connects we need and the FP members that have them. Just to throw some things out there, we'll need:

Radio Connects(local, national, college, Satellite): Promotion Promotion Promotion is crucial!!!. Online is important, but word of mouth is even more important, the word must spread like VD! The Streets talk and they will continue as long as we can give them something to talk about.

P&D(Pressing and Distro): If you have access to any kind of mass production/CD Duplication equipment, or even better, if you have connects with more professional means of doing this, then speak now.

We'll need more connects as well.


This is for profit, but for a great cause. I could put alot of energy into this but I wont if the energy isnt reciprocated.


Sidenote: Being that there are 1,000's of members, everyone obviously wont make it onto the CD. Well, biggrome brought up an idea a while back to start up an independant site of hot up and coming producers from future producers.com. Having this site up will give those who didnt make it onto the CD a chance to make it onto the site. A panel of completely un-biased judges listen and give it the thumbs up or thumbs down. Atleast a panel of ten.


Anyway, this whole idea will take atleast a month or two of planning for this to be done right. I'll keep the ideas flowing as long as the interest is still shown.
 
And to get the buisness side of it going...maybe those who volunteer to take of stuff like that can get a piece of the profit for their hardwork. Just an idea.
 
Its not really for profit though is it. I think any profits should be put into even more promotion once all the other costs are recouped.

I agree. This will all have to be drawn up, but in the end this is an exclusively promotional project. The goal is to promote 1) Something productive in the Hip-Hop Community, 2) Your name as a producer and 3) and most important GOOD MUSIC!!
 
I can help with copyrights and reg's. I work at ASCAP and am willing to take care of the performance royalty end. I'm willing to be a part of this if people are willing to motivate.
