Definitely the most time I've put into one track. I really worked on the things that I felt my first track lacked. Any feedback is appreciated. Before my bass was terrible but I recently learned how to sidechain so let me know how the kicks/808's sound. My hi-hats were really weak, I messed with the decay but I still wish they were a little more strong, tips? The hardest part of this track was the bassline. Not 100% i have the bassline EQ'd correctly and i just kinda winged it on the notes I was playing. I can give you F4F if you want my opinion

The sample used gets a little annoying, even though the drum track changes a couple times the vocal sample being you're lead makes the whole thing sound pretty repetitive, also with hi hats less is more in my opinion, however I did like the overall idea/ concept, just it could have been better executed, the part where you switched the vocal sample for a couple bars was a sick transition though!, also the mix sounds a little muddy, make sure you have your frequencies so nothing is really clashing, and it can really bring out/give you some crisp drums. It was not that bad. For your 2nd beat, it's actually pretty impressive. You seem to have a strong sense of rhythm and seem to really understand programming drum patterns. You pretty much have the basics down. That being said, the drums were far to quiet IMO. I feel you had reverb on the drums, it sounded cool, gave some atmosphere to the beat, but I recommend either raising the volume on the drums, lowering the sample, or eq'ing frequencies out of the sample or the drums to make the drums have more presence in the mix. Do some research, read some books, go on youtube and learn some mixing basics, I feel that's what you need to take your tracks to another level. Overall, the composition was pretty cool.

Here's a new track I just released, it's called ROBERT DE NIRO FLOW, I'd appreciate if you could listen and lemme know what you think.

I would turn the snare way up! It gets lost in the mix but it needs to be up front and center giving it some crack and snap! I don't the sample would seem as repetitive if the drums took on a more central role in the mixing. Because they're quieter and a little too reverby it puts too much emphasis on the sample, causing it to get played out little too early. There's my two cents. Pretty impressive for a 2nd beat, much better than my first 30 or so, haha.

Thanks mane, I think i am a victim of not having studio monitors. I'm using Beats Studios and these Sony speakers i have. And ya, i got carried away with reverb :)

For your second ever track thats awesome work. Probably sounding like a broken record by now but those vocals can be changed up i think. Chop them, slice them, pitch them anything really to mix it up and keep the listen interested.
