Rick Ross x Chrisette Michele “Mafia Music Pt. 2″ (Ross is a problem)

So can we agree on a few things before we continue the debate/discussion:

1) Chrisette Michele is sexy

2) This song is hot and Rick Ross has always made good music

3) This video, FOR WHAT IT IS, depicts a fabrication/fantasy, and its hot and he's been making some of the HOTTEST videos for a good minute now

4) Rick Ross has been living out his fantasy of being a drug kingpin through his rap career. Sure he lied about his past, it's not excusable at all, but he's still living his dream through his music. Some people will never live their dreams because they're afraid, this guy is fearless

I look at his use of the label name Maybach Music in the same way I look at Star Trak and Rocafella.

I remember when Jay-Z came out he and Dame and Biggs had this image of being gangsters, dressing the part and everything and no one had a problem with that.

The only thing Ross did horribly wrong was lie about his CO past, we all know that.

I'm just saying out of all the videos being made nowadays, he's putting a lot of thought into his videos and they look damn good.

i thought he pretty much used this as a gimmick to get signed into def jam? He's look was totally different way back on those trina videos.

Damn how even this thread turn into an argument... Honestly I think it's crazy how he's only doin what every rapper alive does anyway. These dudes, the stories they create, they'd all be in jail for life or on the death penalty.

This is America, still. Our black president WORKS FOR some o them Maybach owners yall talkin about. For most of us born into the bull$hit (like me) there isn't even much to the whole "gettin money" movement. Everyone wants to fool themselves into thinkin that they're out there doin more than they really do. I'm so tired o this Hip Hop image contradiction bull$hit... even Jay himself couldn't be possibly as gangsta as he wants to act like, and still be so successful MUSICALLY... not to mention him just signing a 150,000,000 contract...

... yeah okay, yall real gangsta, really in the streets out there =P

Let the man make his music. I still think Magnificent is ill. Inspirational as hell. They all look like deadbeat dads n all got multiple groupies anyway.

His biggest song to date, Everyday I'm Hustlin, got him signed to Def Jam. He saw what he was doin back then (dude has been rappin forever) wasn't working so he switched up his image & it worked. I was never a Ross fan until Hustlin.

His music is unable to make me interested. I know how many mom's boy claim to be a gangster now but still, I can't get how a correctional officer try to be like this.

He should rap about he been a correctional officer, and tell his experiences, nothing wrong with that. That'd be real and unique.

^ thats wut I'm sayin. I don't understand rappers' need to portray a life of illegal activity b!tches n riches that he in reality takes no part in.

There's a 17 year old kid in Berlin with 3 of those all bought cash while Ross is struggling to make his monthly payments 2 years in on a 10 year payment plan. Reality.

Can you tell me who that 17 yrs old kid is and what he does? I'd be interested.

I guess he's a professional when it comes to asking for money from daddy.
I wouldn't make assumptions that quick, there are a very good amount of young 16-18 years old who created their own internet companies and are making millions of off it. Many of them even dropped out of high school to pursue their career. They are just not in your face in the media like a fake dude called Rick Ross.

A real boss can afford his own throwbacks not the smeduims that they have on set for the shoot I laugh everytime i see him in that tight jersey

Because dumb niggas don't want to hear or see anything else. It's quite obvious.

I'd really like to see a correctional officer rap about what he seen from that perspective, for real. That'd be a fresh, new, original subject for a rapper. With the rap skills Ross has, it'd be real cool.

but I was already tired when the 439th drug-dealer-rapper came out, and Ross is the 943th.

not neccessary because of the subject, but the delivery. somehow, REAL guys are always able to make an old story sound fresh.

50 Cent is not the first rapper who sold crack, not the first who got shot, but the guy has a personality and he don't give ****.

Ross isnt that bright tho you can tell by him lying about being a CO when alot of CO's sold more dope then tha majority of rappers I would've used that angle the CO thing wasnt bad because there are CO's in every hood that a just ruthless as the inmates

exactly! but why he was trying to hide that? I actually know a CO and he's a real tough guy. people talk about it like he worked in Disney Land or something.

if Rick Ross'd written a song about himself being a CO, noone'd ever could **** with this thing, and he'd be real.

Both spelled them differently and Ross straight rip off the name and doesnt even say it right I have yet to hear one rapper pronounce Maybach correctly

Im a fan of Chrisette Michele, but the only way ill agree rick ross is a "problem" is if your definition of "problem" is a bad rapper..

Yes I listened to the song, people saying **** like this is hot is the reason "hip hop is dying" damn where did everyones taste go...
