Exactly. When you are at that level, they will come find YOU.

LMFAO.

I guess Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy are gonna come with em, huh?

You can keep that plan. You concentrate on making "hit" records, and waiting for the major music industry to come and find you...

I'm gonna take my "mediocre" music and go and find a market for it.

I remember Mobay.

Mobay didn't you post up some photos of you getting married in some Jordans?
Haha whuddup Rome, I learned a lot from people like you and traxx..and yeah I got married in a fresh pair of white on white AF1's

fukoutta here troup. u aint even start yet how u gon quit u only got 10 beats?

TROUP...

everything ain't about "money" as far as art is concerned...

the sole purpose of "creative endeavors" is not always "money"...

and on top of that, where has THIS THREAD got you?

what have YOU learned from this thread?

anything?

Never said the sole purpose of "creative endeavors was money. But the sole purpose of selling records IS money.

Where has this thread got me? You don't wanna know.

What have I learned from this thread?? I have learned that I am achieving my goals every single day, and that my business plan is working.

So the most important thing that I've learned from this thread, is that I'm on the right track...cuz IndustrySound.com is NEEDED.

And I'm still waiting for you to prove me wrong.

i can't "prove" you wrong...

conversely,

i can't "prove" you right either...

To JTroup and all others here in this thread,

IF you have invested that much time and money into pursuing music, and have modest gains I would say to drop out the music biz--it's not for you. If you were truly talented/had the ability--you would have made it thus far.

YOu either:
1) Lack the talent
2) Lack the drive
3) Lack the physical looks
4) Lack the social graces
5) Lack the right personality

OR it could be a comcination of those things. These are what separates ones that have made it, and others who dream and write pointless threads on websites such as this. I know, I've checked out this website from time to time and questioned what the purpose was in several discussions. I usually check out SectionZ or PMP to actually look at producers.

In any case, I would say to retire and find another hobby which is more condusive towards your talents and will get you fufillment in life. Not everyone is cut out to be a professional musician anyway.

Not everyone is cut out to be Leonardo Da Vinci.

Prove me wrong.

I'll wait...

I will. Nothing against Troup personally but there is evidence out there.

This guy is one of the most subscribed musicians on youtube and he has 15 million plus views on his videos.

He didn't do any of his promotion work. He simply put a video on youtube, the rest was in the "peoples" hands. Same with any other successful viral musician.

I doubt that Tay Zonday of Chocolate Rain knew in advance that his video was going to get over 38 million views. His promotional efforts had very little to do with the fact that his video go so many views. Its all in the sharing.

If its great and people like it for whatever reason, then they will share it.

I learned that in order to be successful with my you:
a) better pour a ton of money or time in to promotion.
b) have a hot product that people will want to share.

So this is the conclusion that I came to. Put your time into the actual craft/content. If its great then people will come, its inevitable.

Part of me thinks that this thread was more or less a marketing ploy to get traffic, thus the provacative title.

If it was, nice job :P

30 Pages and rolling. When's the site going to be up anyway? It just takes me to your site.

damn troup i cant really picture you not doing music. will you still be hanging around FP?

Yeah I agree, there is that stopping point when you know if music aint cutting it, then you gotta stop pursuing it as your career... Its like at least you tried and worked hard and you have no regrets becuase your only as good as you are and cant be better than you are and if things aint succeeding then you should know when the time is right

hahah this is good, I believe you will be successful as long as you adjust but just do not give up on the music. rootin for ya

dante

Troup this I don't hope this is a "Jay-Z marketing move" retiring and then come back......

I have to give you the props bcuz your threats always reach alot of pages in just a few days (some times even hours)................You have a following whether they're haters or lovers.

How much money has Ronald Jenkees made?

Ronald Jenkees still gets up and goes to work every day...even with those 15 million youtube views.

There was a story recently about some songwriter or something who had like 100 Million views on youtube, and they made $6 off of that.

Youtube has made hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions, off of Ronald Jenkees. How much has he made off of them?

My purpose is not to be famous. My purpose for doing music is to make a PROFESSION out of my PASSION.

I'm sorry Tha Remedy, but you proved my point exactly. For all the PHENOMENAL TALENT that Ronald Jenkees has, he's still in his basement, playing piano on his webcam...even with 15 million views...

And when he hits 20 million views, he's still gonna get up and go to work the next day.

Without proper business behind your talents, someone else is going to reap the benefits of your talent, and leave you in your basement, making music.
