That dude Mako or whatever (that asked if he was better than Dilla) used a ton of the Dusty Fingers samples.
In most cases he didn't even alter them.
I brought it up in his thread. He didn't respond.
I wasn't even calling him out either, because Swiss used an unaltered beat for The Carter III.
You'll hear the seeds of Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, Akeneyle, & many other beats unaltered in this collection.
It is just a compilation of pretty good instrumental songs that can be sampled or even rapped over often w/o being sampled.
The same company made Ultimate Break Beats Vols. 1-25.
Those I feel are just songs famous for good drum breaks.
However, I feel Dusty Fingers are albums of good instrumental songs w/ banging drum tracks. That is how I see it.
No, the can't be rare now, because so many people have this collection, but they were rare & obscure before the collection got popular.
I'd listen to them for sure. You don't drop 25 volumes & create a new series that puts out 15 more volumes if your choices suck.
They made that many for a reason.
I have all volumes & also all U.B.Beats.
Get 'em w/ a torrent because there are 15 albums that I know of.
I can't remember if I got these from a torrent or a blog.
You'll hear some $hit & go damn that's where that came from, heh
