ill check for it when i can find the video. i dont see anything on the mimik feature. I am not doubting that the Miko/Neko is a good piece of gear btw. I don't think its right for me and I feel its overhyped. I am sure this will be useful for a lot of people but most people can get the job done with a laptop and a few programs or a mpc and a fantom or something similar.

lol...how can you not see anything on the mimik feature? It's right on the video overview page!

And btw if you dont have one i dont wanna hear your hate...I only wanna hear from people who have purchased one of these Timbaland version MiKo or other MiKo/NeKo

Ya'll should definitely read the original post. I'm also intrigued by the Miko and sick and tired of people blasting it that never owned one.

point blank, the miko is just setup that alot of people already have . im pretty sure the OS/HD can be copied and put on any computer and voila, you have all the sounds

If your beats are weak in FL they are going to be no better miko
its fu*ked up to say but its true. This also goes for "upgrading" to Reason or going from FL 7 to FL8 or going from software to hardware and vice versa. lol

Thats my biggest problem man...It seems like eery MiKo thread i read through theres a whole lot of people saying its this and that but they never owned one used one or know anyone personally that owned one? Thats why i said at the start i only wanted to hear from people with experience first hand.....

I personally think its a great investment.
Great sounds, great setup.
More inspiration.

MIko Timbaland SE

MIko Timbaland SE

I purchased my Miko in November 2007; back order- I received it March 2008. There was a serious waiting list.

Here are Pros:

1. You will never have to go out and buy antother sound ever again.
a. Timbo - Paractically cloned his entire vintage Library, just as advertised;which are VSTi virtual instrument plug-ins.
b. The shound is Thick, Warm, Knocking...remindes meof the Analog/Digital converters the MPC 60 and MPC 3000 & ASR both sharp and warm combo.
c. If you decide that you like a partcular Keyboard that just hit the mark. Openlabs provides the Mimic software progrfam with translater. Basically, you MIDI-in and MIDI-out to any keyboard that you want to clone. The program will clone the exact keyboard into a virtual instrument modules that you can store in your Miko Keyboard.
Note: Mimic is 3rd parthy software. However, open labs provides the software as a part of the bundule; it works and it is the real deal.

d. Miko is the BEST mobile protable solution and TRUE ALL-IN One workstation. Having the Mimko replaced ALL..and I mean ALL the external hardware that I had in my studio...this is a serious space saving investment. Also, the work flow is simplified; no searching through external modules to finds sounds and etc..

e. Since this is really PC with Dual/Quad Core CPU, 4GB Ram and up to 1Tera byte HD... USB , FireWaire, Ethernet, External VGA port for Video Expansion port, Internal Touch Screen DVD/W CD/R... yu can do anything you would n a Desktop Computer..Why it is a Desktop Computer that has been customized to fit in a keyboard Chasis..

f. Supports and Music Softeware Compatible with PC and Windows XP.

Cons -
1.NO MAC version OSX version of the Miko
2.There is no built in Sequencer
a. requires an external sequencer if you sequence

Other than this I love it.....

I hope this hepls you....

At the end of the day, whether you have a $500 dollar drum macahine, keyboard or $5,000.00 Miko or what ever you have, it's all about Music and what best complements your workflow and gets the job done.

Good luck and best wishes!

No sequencer????.......Reaper????

lol...right. Not to mention Cubase LE.

And Mimik is NOT 3rd party software. It is developed by Open Labs.

And Mimik will not instantly CLONE your keyboard into a VST. It's not that simple.
