wtf

The analogy with the bomb defusing is the worst analogy I have ever heard in my life. Do some of you people have no rational thinking at all? It's obvious that once you are trained in something it takes a lot of practice to develop your own style and become proficient in that skill.

I guess you think bomb squads are just full of kids who played around with explosives when they were young and learned the **** on their own. What I love is the comic irony of this. At least when you try to learn everything yourself about beatmaking music, all that happens is your music is whack.

I'd love to see the results of one of you dumbasses learning bomb defusing on your own, or perhaps doing some surgery with no prior training.

Ego always hinders development. If you could just naturally make industry ready beats i'm pretty sure it would not have taken 1000s of years for music to develop into the modern forms it has today.

Think about all the generations of experimentation that have lead up to what has been achieved musically. Its even more ironic considering hip hop is mostly sampled.

But whatever, haters hate because they know their own skills are weak and they aren't willing to be humble enough to learn from someone who spent years mastering their own craft and almost guaranteed had some kind of training, inspiration and mentor to guide them along the way.

I DO BUT EVERY PRODUCER SUDIES UNDER ANOTHER (I.E KANYE DID UNDER NO I.D.) AND HES A MONSTER RIGHT NOW. I DONT HAVE A LOT OF TIME OR FUNDS TO BE IN THE STUD SO A LITTLE HELP IS OKAY. I M NOT ASKIN FOR A STYLE TO RUN WITH. I GOT MY OWN MIND FOR THAT. SOMETIMES IT HELPS JUST TO SEE SOME USE A FEATURE HAND ON INSTEAD OF READING IT IN A BOOK ESPECIALLY FOR SOOUND.

I think you should take your $25 for this month and get a keyboard with a working caps-lock key.

The free remake tutorial of 'Show Me What You Got' on todaysbeats was actually very cool, he made everything without samples he took only sounds from sonik synth. And he played the instruments so that you could see which key he was hitting. So you could do it on your own if you want to.
I would say those videos help. I'm a big fan of warbeats, and I remember how frustrated I was at the beginning, NFX helped me with his great tutorials a lot they motivated me to keep doing my thing. He is a great teacher.

Yes I believe in video tutorials in the internet, it's the future way of knowledge, No I would not recommend any vid tut, cuz only a few people are able to make good tuts so that you learn something from.
A lot of vids out there are just entertaining.

I think you have to have a mixture of both, you need to learn some of the basics. But music is really all about self-expression, exploration, and discovery. To follow a cookie-cutter outline is robbing yourself of the beauty of the process. Today's Beats makes some nice tracks, but there's nothing there that you couldn't do yourself....

Learning from other producers is always a great way to get your foot in the door. Most of the greatest producers in the game learned alot from other producers. Its alot faster to learn from mentors and develop your own sound as you grow. I'm not the best producer in the world but I can honestly say that if it wasn't for youtube and ustream I wouldn't be able to do anything close to what I'm making .... so soon in time.... So my point is... $30 is a small investment for something that he could profit from 10fold (even though I wouldn't do it lol)

Todaysbeats.com looks decent. Haven't checked it out myself, though...

Co-Sign....
Todaysbeats is good too, very insightful and inspiring but......
Warbeats is free, and I'm cheap, best bang for your buck which is none....real talk.

Todaysbeats = Great for Reason production at a price.
Warbeats = Great for FL studio production pretty much free.
