I am trying to find that clap that is on every hiphop record now. it is in the song "In da lcub" 50 cents. and it sound like it is in the track also with Nelly "where's the party at"
thanks

Why Not Just sample the clap right form the song?? You know you have the cd, or atleast an mp3 file

I have to check it out and see if it is by itself. I think there is alwyas strings and other sounds over it

nah. i think it's by itself because most of the other sounds decay by the time the clap hits.

why not record yourself clapping and eq/process that to get whatever clap sound you want?

Try putting a very small delay on the clap as well; people can't ever clap precisely in time. That's what gives the clap its presence in "In Da Club".

i can hook u up with 3 of em that i got that sound really close. PM me your email address if u want em

in da club clap is 2 simple claps....1 reversed and sliced, and the other pitch shifted...

its actually pretty easy to make if you know what you doin

experiment and create your own sounds. it's satisfying, for real. do what that last cat said, then do other stuff, similar. i got one of the tightest sounds from my girl and i clappin' and snappin', layerd that ish up, doctored it, and now it's tighter than 50's

LOL, what about instrument/voice removing?

hey Lokz, the thing about removing vocals or instruments from a song is a joke. do a little search on that here on the newbie forum and you will see that noone has answered to that. There are just bunch of jokes on that topic coz there iz no real answer to that.

Tip on the 50 cent clap. try to search the net or p2p programs for 50 cent-in da club DV8 remix. it has the rhythm dry with no strings.

just call up one of ur female friends wit a big booty and record her clapping her booty

If you go to (FL 3.56) Packs>Hip Hop>Snares
There is a clap there, that is similar to the one used in "in da club". I actually copied just his drum beat almost identically. Threw in my own melody, came out pretty cool. Thats the best way to learn. I guess..
