That's for trimming the original before it's chop or assigned.
2nd there is a preview button and you can set the start/end and choose to(or not to) permanently truncate the original later from the Sample Mgr. In any case the MV display is logically layed out it doesn't have to switch screens because everything is in front of the user. We can tuncate /discard right from one screen while the 5000 has to jump to the edit screen then a series of button pushes.
You have no clue of how the MV works. Your just fishing the manual looking talking points.
*Once a pad is on the clipboard the sample , layers and 100% of the pads parameters are restored for you at a single touch.
BTW- Jahbronie, once you actually discard the truncated ends they are not recoverable. Try reading your own manual. No sampler can restore a sample once it's actually discarded from memory....not even yo lil bugbox!
Undoing an edit (just parameter settings ) is one thing, undoing an actual Discard (deletion) from RAM memory is impossible on the 5000 or any other sampler.
If does, that means the 5000 is actually keeping everything in memory when it says it isn't.
Now go back and steal some more lines from my post. How bout that LCD Jahbronie.. I ain't forgot you lying lil snot! Post the details of how did the mod or admit that you lied! Catching you red-handed like that really has you in a tizzy! You've been trying to recover from that all day. Just tell us how you did it.
I gotta see this again...
