Hi I'm looking for a bit of advice...has anyone any hands on knowledge about the new vestax pdx's...I was thinking of the PDX 2300 MK2 [non-pro] ...do you think the pro version with the curved arm would be good/worth the extra dough...
this is actually my first set of direct drives...I've been mixing on some 50th user clapped out omnitronic beltdrives for the past few years...though i have used the new technics MK5's and i really liked them...
but actually one of the[of none other] great things about the omnitronics is that if you hit the 33 and 45 at the same time you get a speed somewhere inbetween...i actually use this quite alot so I think i'd miss that extra range if I got the technics...
the only thing i've been slightly sceptical of about geting the 2300's is that I might become too dependent/comfortable with the pitch range and the digital pitch readout, especially since i am at still an early enough stage with mixing...though i'm reasonably comfortable with beat matching its still taking me a minute to match something up reasonably well...I'm waffling on here sorry em
thanks for any advice
I'd really appreciate it...
