Toronto WILL take over the rap game

A lot of Canadian Hip Hop is dope. I was looking at doing a year in Toronto as part of my degree, due to several managerial c*ck ups I haven't been able to arrange it.

But, as I was looking to spend a year in Toronto, I looked in to the Hip Hop scene. Shaq Is Dope (that's his name, but literal too) and JD Era is superb/doper.

Oh, also, how could I forget... Marco Polo, another Canadian... Nominated for another Juno Award today...

Seems like all these musician grants Canadians can apply for, really do help. Shame the UK don't consider music producers as musicians otherwise I'd be applying for grants as well...

You could probably just get the artists to include you in their grant budget as part of their project so you could still get access to some of the funds maybe.

[+PHOTOS] : News : Food World News, trying to engage in a little flirting by using instagram is just plain crazy, if he is having a player moment that is one thing but if he is doing this with lots of women then it may come back to bite him hard

relevance to original idea of this thread: if Drake is self-destructing he could take the whole Toronto deal down with him, #IJS

Drake apparently likes strippers a lot, so I guess he's expanding to porn stars. Unless he's involved in some R Kelly drama I don't see it hurting him.

I don't see that happening but the whole point is that lots of other artists are going to break in the coming future...

It's the same deal with all the other coasts/cities - there's been one artist that breaks then other follows the path.

Technically kardinal offishal, kos, knaan and other guys from canada/toronto had a buzz before drake - I think Kardinal had the biggest buzz at one point. But history repeats itself.

The producers are a whole other story too - so the city is going in.
 
Toronto runs battle of the beatmakers, so we basically run the capital of developing talent when it comes to producers. Atlanta is probably the same at a different avenue.
