See that's what I need to learn how to do, sell them tracks hea n there 4 that kinda money... if I was pushin 2 beats a week at 300 a pop I wouldn't at all be complaining about life lol... not that I am now...

Quitters never win, Winners never quit. Do some meditation and you'll find the answers you are looking for through quieting your mind. Write down your goals on paper and read them daily before you work on music to keep your mind focused on your desired outcome. Remember there is no failure when it comes to living your passion.

creativiity, use a wide variety of sounds and be diverse, a lot of your beats sound the same my friend

I guess bro, which sound the same you must have a different ear than me cause none of them sound the same.I use piano alot in my beats because i like that and i becoming better at it. But sounds i do agree on.And if they do sound alike that sound be kinda a good thing it means its my style.

yea i guess it can be your style, they all just seem kinda slow and mellow and they just have a certain sound. like when i hear songs, i can usually tell what producer made it (i.e. drumma boy, zaytoven, scott storch)

So i dont know if that was a good comment or were you telling me to change it up.

Change it up?huh

change it up g

How?tell me how to change it up?I sit in front of my computer trying to come up with melodys and when i try and get some thing down i go with it.If i hear it in the future sounding wack then i say its wack but thats it. I cant reach in my hat and pull out a timbaland track cause obviously im not him. And i also dont sample that much cause i just dont believe in it , so tell me how? Changin it up aint gonna be me and thats all i can be is me and my style. If people have certain styles like timbaland, scott storch, neptunes i guess they should change it up then too right.

experiment with different sounds, tempos, melodys. when i make a beat its usually in about 10-15. it comes real quick. use different claps, snaps, snares. and sampling is never a bad idea either. i used to think sample was dumb as hell, and then i found out you can sample a million different ways. some of my favorite beats are from samples i did. check out some of our tracks and let me know what you think.

also download new plugins/vst's for new sounds and a different feelin. or use different software/hardware.

once you start getting placements, you'll get more motivated my guy. I promise you!!! it's not supposed to be easy

yea its not easy at all, just let the hits come to you. some of my really good beats happen on complete accident haha just screwin with different sounds

Well lately i been up all night trying to make stuff and have been coming up with ideas and yeah other musicians do motivate me.

Watch tutorials too, on whatever you use, learn new techniques. Get deeper into mixing. Practice, make drum loops, chop samples, w/e.

(Might as well...)

Im actually gonna go to the mediatech school in houston for audio production and sure it will help me fill in the gaps that need to be filled. plus other students there will collab with me and sure that will get the creative flow going.I know alot of peopl say that schools arent worth it but i know i have alot to learn still and it is easier when all of it is just given to you in a years time instead of searching and looking for it your self.20 grand for one year sounds like alot but i have a better chance gettign placements in a big city than my city which does not have any urban studios at all.I hate the fact that i gotta leave my family but if i want my dreams to come true which are being a established producer not a platnuim producer, but would be nice then i gotta do what i gotta do. Sound engineering and mix engineering are also some passions i have just to braden my skills.

still need to master piano, know what key im in,intravals, proggrssions right off the top of the head.

School is key. There's always careers in engineering too.

Realisticly the chances of any of us being super producers are slim but as long as us are happy what were doing its worth it. Right now i am not happy cause i know i havent reached my full potential and like yall said there is more to being a producer than making a dope beat.I wana be able to create my own sounds and instruments cause i know what people want and know what i wanna hear. So with the right tools my chances are better for making a good song but thats just half. Writing or having a songwriter write the song is also whats counts and to me is more important than the beat because i have heard some very simple beats become monster hits due to clever songwriting and great harmonize.
