Honestly I feel like this:
If a reasonably intelligent person isn't getting as good at something as they want to, they most certainly aren't putting in the effort required.
At some point people need to be able to look at the man in the mirror instead of blaming it on the invisible man who won't let you progress at the speed you want to progress.
