Soundcloud destroying my uploads?

Hi there,

I am trying to upload some stems on to soundcloud... For some reason one of the stems (a lead sound) sounds like it has white noise generated by soundcloud when it is played on soundcloud. It sounds like a bit crusher has been used on it.

I know it is to do with the way soundcloud processes the file, but does anyone know how I can prevent this?

Thanks

upload in 24 bit wav so that the file is only transcoded once - remember that soundcloud converts to 128kbps mp3 for streaming purposes, meaning it messes with the quality and obliterates some aspects of your files

Could one master your sound as a 128kbps mp3 specifically for soundcloud so that what you hear is what you (and more importantly, your listeners) get?
Would that work or is it a better idea to master and upload at a high quality?

soundcloud transcodes regardless of the upload quality so you are best served to upload at best quality (24bit wav)
