Soundclick producers

Is anybody around here finding success selling beats on soundclick? I'm thinking about setting up a VIP account soon. I know that site is saturated as hell, but I'm sure there are some success stories around here.

Anybody? :rolleyes:
 
I just set a VIP account up, but I'm not finished editing the layout or fully uploading all my beats, but when I do, I'll let you know how I do after a month or two of promotion ;)
 
I heard it takes time and patience, just like any small business, but if you have a good product, eventually people will find out. Just promote, and offer a couple free beats.
 
I read that Kane Beatz got discovered through sound click. I noticed he lease beats as well. but i wonder if he makes dough from that..?
 
most people that i know that make money off soundclick make most of their cash from leases. Ive sold a few beats on soundclick but the name of the game is promote promote promote
 
There's a ton of money to be made from soundclick. I personally make more money from my myspace than I do soundclick but I have a feeling that will be changing this year.
 
theres money to be made

depends on:

A) how much promoting you do
B) How Professional/Flashy you image iz
C) How tight you trackz are

^^^ those are the basics in that order

that being said, I make decent money off SC and myspace right now. I have the VIP and just bought 2 front page spotlights for next month, ill let u kno how that goez, I just started a promotional campaign tho, (local/online) and thingz r going good

dont rely on soundclick 2 make your money, you still have to actually produce music/songz/do events/shows/ect and promote like hell to make money, regardless of what site your using or not using
 
man mos def goes hard too....i hope nobody laffs at that lol but he is sick
 
It's getting more and more saturated every day... but if you're hot, there's money to be had.
 
OP only you will be able to truly answer that question.

Dudes will tell you this or that but you'll never see bank statements.

If you want long term success...work with a team, build with local artist who do shows, and offer your services to everybody looking for you style of music.

soundclick is funny... I got a lot of people checking on me even though my early stuff was not so good...
Yet I got a homie that I really respect for his talent and he still got less love than I do even though I think he got mad talent !

So yeah, I guess getting VIP helps even though 1 year from now, it wasn't mandatory to have a vip soundclick ! Now it's almost a necessity.
 
I used to make decent money on there around this time last year, sales have slowed down as it becomes more and more saturated every day, seems like just about everyone in the top 500 has a VIP page, it's a struggle just to stay in the top 200 without paid promotion unless you have already established a name for yourself, and lately all the good paid promotion slots are never available. I have started to focus more on local sales and working with local artists but still plan on using soundclick as the main site to host my beats.
 
I'm just using the freebie soundclick and it is fine :) Mind you I have only had it for 4 days :P
 
soundclick needs to step in and set a cutoff point. its almost a joke now how saturated it is. wack producers...always manage to fyck some shyt up

Same trap Vst sounds - Check
Same trap snare rolls - Check

Again not to diss but why would anybody buy or lease your beats when you sound just like everybody else?
