i dont have a soundclick and dont really like it but i am gonna ask a legit question...do u think sales would b up if free downloads were offered by NOONE?
 
Sales are going pretty good. Already made a few G's off soundclick sales alone.
 
Man them team hitz dudes taking all the customers lmao. But nah free downloads have led to a few sales, but the serious artists come straight forward for leases or exclusive rights. Had around 6000downloads this month and good amount of sales for first month of soundclick.
 
shit, to be honest with you, i haven't made anything yet. i just need to market my page more

Maybe you should sign up for a SC account and post up some music.

You don't have to sell beats for cheap, as a matter of fact, you don't even have to sell beats, but this way, you can see why music producers enjoy being a part of the site.

As much as people say those charts don't mean anything, just watching your music climb those charts is inspiring and can give 1 a sense of accomplishment. Try it, you might just like it.

Yes and No.

Yes, because it would, in a sense, force the "up and comer" to financially back his career move.

No, because its common knowledge amongst career artist(s) that in order to release anything, you have to (by law) obtain permission to use somebody else's material.

I see what you are getting @, but the reality is that especially right now, its so competitive that if you don't conform to the "new" standard online, you might as well kiss future online opportunities goodbye.

You don't necessarily have to sell yourself short just 2 get ahead (which unfortunately a lot of people do :banghead:) but if you want to be considered for the part sometimes you gotta play the role.

I really wish it wasn't like that but it really forces you (as a producer) to step ur game up if you want to even enter the race.
