A. I never stated who I thought was the greatest because there.....is no greatest. I know who's I'd CONSIDER to be the Top 5 and even the Tope 3...my choices, but I'll never call them THE ABSOLUTE GREATEST EVER. That's just irresponsible...responsibility is something that nyggas know something about.
B. No one ever argued that the world will not remember Pac....in fact a very long time ago I myself said on FP that Pac has to be considered one of the greatest because courses are taught on his writing, he has his name written on the sides of villages in Africa, and he had material for all walks of life.
Oh And C. YOU HAVE TO factor in that PAC's music fueled the beef so you can't separate his flaws from his music. You'd have to be one ignorant individual to say otherwise and if you do then you have no respect for this hip hop thing period. Until one of you either invent time travel or you learn how to raise the dead then there's nothing more to really discuss. Musically the man was A GREAT....not THE GREATEST. Same could be said for B.I.G or whoever else you'd like to vote on.

did you not even read the previous posts? its obvious you HATE Tupac. Your disdain is evident in these and past posts where you even go so far as to suggest Tupac's whole career was a gimmick. Ignorant.

You were in, what, 5th grade when Pac died? You barely have the intellectual tools to even write a cohesive paragraph now, I very much doubt you were apart of any serious discussion when you were 10/11 years old.
Again, did you not read the previous posts? One of the things that constitute Tupac as the greatest was his amazing ability to successfully make songs of different subjects.
If you want to post average, and even horrible, gangster tracks look no further than your own soundclick page.

I don't even understand what this is suppossed to mean. You should have more respect being a wannabe rapper and producer. Tupac was 18 when he released his first album.
You're better off making posts asking R&B producers if they have sex to their own music.

now go hide under a rock, don't post in this thread anymore, unless you want to be further ridiculed and make yourself look even more ridiculous than anyone on this board could.

No matter whether Pac's music fueled beef or social change...it was good music. Meaning something i can pop in my cd player and listen to, and be impressed. Music can be good music no matter what kind of message it sends. Shyt i don't agree with most of hip hop artists message but i will listen and when applicable....deem it good music.
I'll worry about potential social impact of good music when i have a real way to influence it...till then i just listen to what the influencers put out.
By the way i called you monday, and you never called me back dog!!! lol

Who's the only rapper to drop a 3x platinum album on the day that terrorists flew a plane into skyscrapers in his own hometown? He sold over 400,000 that week while the country was still in mourning.
Who had the top selling album at the end of the last millenium? You know that umm...we'll have to wait another 994 years to see who accomplishes that feat next.
Who's the only rapper to change an entire country's wardrobe with one line?
Sales consistency? Please....We won't even talk about the sold out shows.
Social impact? Fashion influence? Slang usage? Some would swear that Jay came up with Fo Sho, izzle, and that "Philly whisper".
His career as a whole....remarkable. There isn't another rapper in history who's achieved what he has.

And I just checked my messages on THAT phone u bastard. No I'm being dead serious...I don't check my messages for shyt. It's probably best to send a text message because I use it all the time...so I'll be sure to come across yours in there. In fact, I'm cleaning up again so hit me up on AIM.

I was REALLY being sarcastic. I mean....REALLY.
EDIT...sarcastic is the wrong word. let's just say I know better than to think he's the greatest.

Tupac's music will outlive his that of his peers and will be regarded as the best in his genre and in music in general.

In rap, yea. But Beethoven, Mozart, and Bach in classical, DJ teisto in trance, Micheal Jackson in pop, Beatles in rock, Elvis in country, Mariah Carey in rnb, Benassi in techno. All those people are great.
2pac is the greatest in rap and will always be remembered, but that is just an wrong. respek

to those who don't rate him, why do you think he's on every other music channel everyday, in the source and vibe magazine every other month, and talked about constantly on the web, in are social life, and on television.
I don't know about what most people think, but I know that I was around and I think his opinion SUCKS.BJv said:
I think most people who were into hiphop at that time and old enough to understand what was going on will tell you that your opinion sucks
