3 months ago, I made a connect with a guy through my FB who was looking for beats. I sold him on track he was interested in, he liked what he heard and wanted to buy 2 more. Rather than send him some old shit off the HD, I cooked up some tracks on the fly, faxed the paperwork back and forth, he cut the check to my paypal and the deal was done.
Now, at this point, I was happy to not only have my bread, but my first SERIOUS client with legit connects after dealing with these **** niggas. Well, one day, just ****ing around, I was looking through the paypal invoice sent to my Gmail, and decided to look up the name of dude's production company......F******* Productions---- a gay sodomite porn production studio!!!!!
This nigga didn't say that. So I emailed him and asked him about it and he told me that he passed the tracks onto one of his partners and it was his partners people that paid for the beats---he was just a broker or something. I asked him if they used my name and he said, they probably did so I contacted F******* and they said that they did indeed credit me as the composer on one of their flagship titles. I told them to take my name off the credits, but they said they couldn't since they discs were already mastered and pressed up. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

I dont want my beats associated with no homo fruitbooty shit. I didnt consent to that! i dont want dudes stretching each other booty (pause) to my beats, especially if my name gonna be on 'em and shit. Do i have any legal recourse here. This aint right.

lolololol

You didn't ask who would be using the music or what the music would be for before you sold the tracks? In any event man don't worry about it. You got your bread and if it ever pops up just say you didn't know. However, don't make a big deal of it because a large portion of the entertainment industry is homosexual so it is what it is. Don't be concerned about the person cutting the check. Be concerned with business. Now if you don't want your brand, your name, your beats, etc affiliated with that type of stuff, (for whatever reason), make sure you get clarity and everything in writing outlining usage, etc.

I doubt it. The upside is that it's a niche group of listeners there. Not like gay porn soundtracks are blasting through the Billboard charts (waiting for a joke, there). I doubt your reputation will be ruined by this.

Nice price for the tracks, anyway. Just roll with it. It's work.

Dude said he was affiliated with some small indie labels and thought ny tracks might be good for some projects he was working on. Dude paid for the first beat with no hassle so I didn't wanna rock the boat too much. I just dont feel right about niggas sodomizing niggas to my instrumentals, especially if they using my NAME.

**** your life nigga i aint no goddamn troll. My postcount can attest to that shit.

if your site said "Pumpthrust Productions" maybe you led the gay guys on to thinking you were a gay affiliated, although it could go either way.

pt - never sign a contract without knowing the destination of your work

You signed the contract, you have the money, and so now you have no recourse legally or morally - making a big deal out of it will only make it all the more obvious that you are involved in this.

Put it down to an experience that you won't let happen again

alternatively, go for it and sell them more but under a pseudonym - they understand that line of thinking as it is the operating procedure for most of their actors as well

make sure that you have the right names on your PRO lodgings and copyrights as well - i.e. there are residuals to be had if you did not sell all of the rights - don't forgo them simply because you have a physical/moral opposition to how the tracks are being used - make them pay bigtime

yeah, you gonna have to now i you dont want your name attached to their company.
if you ever "blow up" as a producer, some blogger is gonna do research and "expose" you about this.
although it shouldnt really be that big of a deal to ruin your reputation anyway.
how did they find your music though??

I did as well which is why I had lolololol.

But still, I wish him the best which is why I gave him advice.

@The OP, you got paid for your work. They liked your music enough, you liked the money enough. It was a business transaction. Don't worry about it man.

SMH at this foolish mentality. You guys are more concerned with blowing up tomorrow than making real money today.

And I wouldn't give a f*** about a blogger. I would buy his domain and turn it into a gay porn portal. Reputations are for kids.

I bet u were like:
praisedance.gif

when u got you money
But like this when u found out u were associated with a gay porn company.

facepalm_zpsb60dc1c0.gif

But real talk, if you're secure in your manhood as a hetrosexual don't sweat it.
Like coach said, just make sure u get the details next time b4 signing off your beats.

This shit has the makings of a classic thread.
