What's good fellas/ladies

I'm trying to find a producer named Hi-Fly....if you're out there hit me on the PM so I could hook you up with Riggss@ Shady. He's trying to deal with one of your tracks but he needs you to do a few change ups after the intro....needless to say your account is dead.

If anyone knows this cat tell him to hit me up...if he's not registered on FP he might wanna do that...(no Hi-Fly impersonators please cause we know the track!!!!!)

peace

you're not using common sense. PMP is a business, if there is a network profiting from it, they can make it flourish as they see fit. Just like Spliff, he'll take anyone's dough, wack or not, string them all along, and guess what, actually get major placements for the good ones. So the PMP system tell's you you're hot (without wanting any of your tracks) put's your tracks up on feature, treats the mediocre the same as the the greats because they all got the same green. You sound like the fool to not understand business. Nothing corrupt or fraudulent about these guys subscribing to producers they haven't the slightest interest in. Nothing to tarnish their name. Just enough to keep your account active.

You're absolutely right, PMP is a business, and as with any other business, they make momey providing a service.

PMP never told anyone they were hot or made any promises. No, correction...they told the FEATURED PRODUCERS they were hot. And thats going by the feedback of the staff and industry people associated with the site.

Riggs, Conrad, Lenny and anyone else who participates I'm the PMP system wouldn't risk their jobs, reputations and careers being involved with something thats fraudulent...DONT YOU GET THAT???

The risks to do what you're saying is going on, far outweighs the advantages of doing so. It just doesn't make any type of logical sense.

Getting subscribers doesnt mean you're getting placements. It just means your music caught someones ear enough for them to wanna check back in on you in the future. And that in itself is an accomplishment. Oh means you're on someones radar. And thats part of the point of doing this, right?

LMFAOOO poor guy

props to H&R. u just saved a dude from missing out on an opportunity from PMP.

IDK...
call me a hater if you want

I just googled "hi-fly hip-hop"
(well yahoo search actually)
and the first thing tht came up was hi-fly's soundclick page
with TWO e-mail addresses and his AIM info
plus (of course) he's a got a myspace
and his own .net

am really I supposed to believe that A&R's have gotten so lazy and jaded that they cant even be bothered to ask their assistant to google someone?

Upped to PMP w/firefox no problems here before ... Maybe you
have an older version of Flash try updating it to the latest.
naw, i have the latest flash. the problem is that firefox is open source so no two are the same give or take, so i might have an add on that somehow is interfering with pmp and bebo when identifying an mp3 during uploads. it's not a huge problem for pmp, i use ie7 for updates and my other email but for a site like bebo that gives me constant runtime errors in ie it's a killer (that and bebo sucks).

I just wanted to put all this money talk to bed before I sign off of FP for what might be my last time...for all those that feel the Production MarkePlace is run by paper chasin slicksters I'll offer this up and then you can save your keystrokes:

There are, as of today, 30 promotional accounts from registered FP members on the PMP...do the math thats $18,000.00 a year to make sure some new cats had a chance ...on us. That was a gesture not a gimmick...I could put that money into ads and there would be 10,000 producers on the PMP right now. But that's not the m.o.

Whether you like it or not were not goin anywhere...and most of all I've never said anyone should spend one penny on the PMP. Actually it's probably better that you keep your money in your bank account if you're not sure of your talent...don't give Akai, Roland, Digi D., Korg, or anyone your bread...they don't promise that you're gonna succeed either. That thought is generated from some fantasy center in alot of people's brains. But all some people need and want is an opportunity ....that makes cats a little crazy sometimes because they can't see how people from our culture can put together something so simple but intricate at the same time..

The truth is not everyone who embraces hip hop culture has a "prison" mentality (I heard some cat describe Mike Vick as having a "hip hop prison mentality") I don't know what that means but i do know it doesn't have sh*t to do with me... I wonder if I was a rep from "Soundclick" or "Myspace" or one of these anonynous ad driven, high traffic, "People Dumps" would there be as much ire about our business model.

Either way I've met some real decent folk around here and a few of you know how to get in touch with me...I may stop in from time to time but right now I got to fall back...alot of tracks to listen to (XXL Promo)

I'll just drop a bit of advice to anyone continuing in this thread...you can't Hate what you don't understand, you can only fear it! And alot of people have a reason to fear what were doin...it's a worldwide movement not just a name. And in the future when some message board consumer watch dog is tryin to shoot holes in what you believe is right I would say do like my OG (Original Geeche) grandmother used to tell me ...don't wrestle with pigs because you'll get dirty and they like it!!!

P.S. If any of you want to check how real I am you can find me on 3rd ave and 53rd or you can cross the bridge from time to time and look me up on the 40 side of tenth street..

Peace FP!

You already know fam. See you at the top!

Yet another case of FP's childish ass bickering running off people who can actually do something FOR them. Y'all must like being broke losers.

Y'all people ain't gon NEVER learn. I don't even know why I still stick around here.

**EDIT**

I just made another sale through PMP while I was posting this message. Hate all y'all want. I'm getting money.

well if una goan claim Geechee
...then you gotta acknowledge that Geechees are careful and skeptical - that's why they still have their land
...and people called my friends who protested against the war in Iraq
back in the beginning America Haters
they were and are actually America lovers who felt an ill-considered decision was being made
and that's what going on here - considering a decision, no more no less
people are gon do what they gon do
and no one who is gon make it is gonna get stopped in any case

I personally never told anyone, I dont think anyone in this thread said NOT to go to PMP
If it works for you ride with it - I think that was said more than once in this thread
playin' the numbers to pay the bills worked very well for my Geechee Granma - I myself prefer to go a different way
someone will blow up from PMP, no doubt
and some people will blow up who've never even thought about joining PMP
no doubt
BUT I DID have a problem with the implication that if you dont maintain your subscription once you join the contacts you've created will dissappear and whatever A&R heat you generated will die with your PMP account
no Geechee could let that slide - you should know that ;)

I think everyone participating in the thread "gets" PMP
it's just a question of what works best for the individual
Future Producer

ABOM

... a lot of industry knowledge has come and gone.

Props to ABOM and his crew for being innovative and embracing a new way of doing business.

I guess most of you will stick to the stone age... get CD's pressed up, Pay Discmakers (more than $50... more than $450 to put 15 songs on a CD), mail out unsoliticited material that nobody will touch because they didn't ask for your music (Track Dumps are people asking for your music). The songs on the CD's will get old before you mail them all out... you'll end up giving out the rest because you'll have 20 new beats that need to be put on CD in 2 months time...

... or you could be smart and see that Juvenile is looking for music ... and make a song that'll fit Juvenile... and upload it when you finish it.

(My music making PC is on the skids so I haven't made anything in a minute...)

... the sad part is that the people doing the bickering probably won't be making music 2 years from now...

I can see some of you guys now... a chick gives you her phone number... you debate whether to call her because... in your mind

- she's probably gave that number to a bunch of dudes just to get dinner, movie and concert dates

- she's just using you to make her ex-boyfriend jealous

- she's a ho and gave you the number too fast

- she's trying to move into your place because her lease will be up at the end of the month

but then you find out that she has a Master's and is well off, has her own loot and only had one past boyfriend and has been celebate for 2 years and is giving dating another shot...

in other words, some people don't know a good thing when they see it.

FP... damn, lol.
