Shawty Redd's production dosen't have s*it on Drumma Boy's he iight
That's true (today), but back when Redd was in his prime in his Trap or Die days, it'd be a whole nother ball game.

good ass read

Seeing that he went thru an 8 year dry period is pretty motivating too

Yea thats true but now all his stuff startin to sound the same to me so he cant knock any producer right now yea he gettin money but some people cant afford everything they have so most people have limited potential

Non-sense! I have a Yamaha Motif ES (rack), Roland Fantom XR (rack), Korg TR (rack), and I use my bro-in-law's Korg M3, but I sequence all of the sounds from those hardware modules into FL Studio. FL Studio is basically an MPC, but in software form. To control the sounds, I use my Yamaha YPT-400.
You can control those modules in Fruity Loops? Or are you recording wav loops in another program and then importing the loops and sequencing them?

And on the Fruity Loops ****, why do ppl hate on it? There are many producers who have made radio hits using Fruity Loops, you would never be able to tell the difference. Are the ppl in here just mad becuase they put all their money into all the equipment and dont know how to work it and make a hot beat? Its not about what you have got dammit, its about how you use it and thats obvious... If the beat is hot, people are going to **** with it REGARDLESS, they shouldnt care what you made it on becuase if it's hot, then what you used is irrelevant.

I record the midi sequence in FL usin' the midi outs, then I record the audio into Edison with my audio interface, once I've quantized the midi sequence.

Why take the hard road if you can make something unique and great using FL *shakes his head*
if you haven't tried something before don't judge or speak about it

Still a good interview though

Yeah, it's like Shawty Redd pissed in their Cheerios....

Use LIVE 7, bet Shawty Redd can't diss LIVE 7...

Awesome piece of damn software.... I challenge anybody to name something that cannot be done in LIVE 7...

... go ahead, dig.

Can you easily comp vocals and audio in Live? Like in comparison to PT, Logic and cubase etc. I'm actually curious cause that's one of the more important thing I'm looking for in my next DAW.

I like using the

Asr XPro next to the Fantom S88
& working in Live

Live is the best software out in my opinion.
I use it djing too.

Hit me up on my messenger djmenniz@yahoo

Lets Get It!!!!! Got time for more Colabs!!!!!!

More people "Respect" producers that create their own music

rather than a bunch of "loops" that someone else created..

I like playing with everything when it comes to creating music
there's no boundaries I wouldn't consider.

I would say besides Live, FL Studio is the easiest way to create YOUR OWN loops.

what up people,
i'm a newb so sorry if i resurect the ol this vs that argument.
i've been makin music for over 20 years now dabbling in everything from metal to drum n bass electronica to r& b & hip hop.
Anyway i've been reading threads on this site and i had to reply to this one.
Shawty Redd had a valid point in saying F/L was an easy way out, i agree to a point, example: i have always been a hardware user because back in the day all we had was our boss dr. rythms our synths and simple samplers , but some young dudes i've been workin with here only know frooty loops and the music they make sounds like it was made by virtuosoes, i recently bought MASCHINE and have been bangin out beat after beat so laast night i invite these cats over to collab n find out not one of them can just bang out a beat with there hands, dudes had no rythm whatsover they're step sequence mouse clickin magicians, so yes i can be an easy way out for those with no musical abilities they are musical dudes or else they're beats wouldnt sound hot but take away the mouse and they're lost.
I posted a couple links below of tracks that i made in frooty loops so im not knockin it cause i enjoy makin music with it but you get more feeling when you can bang out a beat with your hands.
this music was made about 4 years ago the beats are simple(they're taste). i'll post a proper introduction on another thread.
oops sorry, i cant post links yet.

Whats the difference between any other DAW and Fruity Loops or even an MPC? Your still recording loops and sequencing them. I guess the only way it cuold be the "easy way out" is just clicking and dragging **** to make a beat, which still, your "producing" a beat. It dont matter how you create the beat, as long as its hot. If you hear it in the studio and its hot, thats all that matters.

Lol at this thread popping back up

1. he wasnt playing with a full deck

2. just about every other producer he signed used fl

3. he had a couple screws loose
