people just use FL studio cause most times they steal it for free...
i never went to the studio and saw a FL studio...

why dont people just go buy the real thing?
i never liked crappy fruity loops....good luck to all the producers using pirated software...have fun....we will be in the studio on the real ****...

Curious, why *is* FL considered the "easy way out" as opposed to any other DAW? Why not Logic or Reason or Pro Tools? Is it because it's easy to come by? Pirates can get ANY software, and who can't afford $99? And what's considered the "noble" or "virtuous" way to produce? I'd like to see Shawty Redd produce some of his techno without some software platform involved! Not saying it can't be done, but he didn't learn techno style and technique in his grandma's church! It's all about being electronic. Why is it considered a "crutch" to do electronic music in an electronic environment, using electronic tools? Not wearing my FL fanboy hat right now, but it just seems that some people's logic is lacking. Sometimes people say stuff that just makes no sense. Just wondering what would make somebody co-sign such a statement.

So sequencing on a CPU VS. Hardware = "the easy way out"...

I thought it was just preference. (guess I was wrong)

Actually, no it's not. If you consider someone using a program to be the "easy way out", but yet you have someone else doing your work for you....then how can you criticize anyone else?
 
how many here use FL stuido? now how many of you paid for it?
now why would you buy FL studio if u have a REAL keyboard(not some cheap ass m audio controller)
why would you use stocks sounds? why would you use a vst plugin instead of the sounds on a real keyboard?

fact is...if u got the money your not gonna use FL...
thats like using a plastic fork vs a silver 1...

Yo big romeo 9th wonder just bought an mpc after about 6 years in the biz working with fake jordans fl studio. "Threat" a record on a platinum album was made on FL studio. But I bet that was one of 9ths "first" beats. Like honestly people stop criticizing dudes for using FL. It doesn't matter what your using, all that matters is the sound coming out.

VST plugins are just as capable as producing a great sound as a rompler based keyboard like a fantom or motif infact some new plugins have hundreds of more sounds then these keyboards.

a Computer is no different then a MPC or KEYBOARD.

a mpc is a computer so is a keyboard

with a Soundcard ,and a midi controller you basically have a work station ,If anything you have more options well its a fact you have more options, The only thing people prefer is the work flow of hardware compared to software ..but in the end its a no brainer. I rather have a nice computer a dope controller and a powerfull DAW then a keyboard workstation (unless its a meko or neko)

mabey he started out as a broke kid..(stole it)figured how to work it and ran with it....none of you are him...

and i bet that plat track he made still went through the real stuff to make it ready for raido/cd..

Bigrome, what up my dude.. I feel ur point, but ur makin a lot of generalizations and assumptions in ur statement. First, me and all the producers I kno in the real world that use FL actually PAID for it. Its a sampler / sequencer like any other. Just a tool like others stated. And some dudes couldn't make a hot beat wit a million dollar setup. I know cats with a studio full of beatmakin ish, that couldn't make fire in a bbq grill. So it goes both ways. I kno cats makin some serious heat on software, makin $$$ of the game too.

And this is from somebody who started makin beats on a akai s01, mmt-8 sequencer, ect. Moved up eventually over the years to a mpc2k, then to software wit hardware controllers, because of the expandability / flexibility. So I kno the best of both worlds, and a lot of talented producers who use a wide variety of tools.

All in all, downing somebody strictly on the basis of the tools they use is truly hatin.
 
Who are you to say that dudes who use FL to produce don't put as much hard work as someone with a ****ing triton and an mpc. I track all my **** out from FL to Logic Studio which I paid for. And for you to say you don't respect someone 'cause they can do the same **** you do with a mouse and a typing keyboard that's just ****ing immature.

i will say this...soulja boy is a fruity boy...niggas hate him..say he killed hiphop..ok...but if there was no FL studio there would be no soulja boy..

Fl is like skipping paying ur dues...it makes it so people like you can d/l it and make music...but people like you never took time to really learn music so you sample(for lack of being able to play the **** oout urself) then u go online and look for free tutorials and free sounds..

what about all the people in bands? they took time to learn **** worked on they craft/...then you come and steal it,rip it, add drums over it and say ur a producer...thats like a spit in the face to the people with real talent..

yea take the easy way out...use the program...just dont expect real music people to feel you...thats just how i feel..i cant speak for any 1 but me...thats why i bump old school...you can keep ur vst and all that **** and play a snyth loop over drums...

its a new age and im a old fart stuck in my ways...
