Ryan Leslie Ordered To Pay $1M Reward He Promised For Recovery Of Stolen Laptop

It is horrible that he has to pay the man a dime. The laptop did not have what he wanted on it meaning it was tAmpered with. Thats like me stealing a purse and taking all the money out and wait for a reward then turn it back in with no money. Rediculous. I salute R Les for still making great music.

Maybe it's a Hermes purse xD

Leslie offered a reward for the laptop, not what was inside of it. Should have never made the reward that big in the first place.

No he clearly offered 1 Mill for the Intellectual Property which means all of his music inside of the laptop. It's in the reward video. I would be pissed too lol.

He got the damn music, it's just easier to say he didn't because he don't got the million dollars.

obviouisly whatever was on their wasnt worth a million. and even more obvious a basic backup for a pro who makes his living with it, is recording 101 stuff. didnt he go to Harvard?

Tone always finds a way to make something that it's not about him, about him. lol.

We're not talking about sample libraries, we're talking about backing things up when shit hits the fan.

Dude, with all due respect but sometimes you reek of insecurity.
with all due respect my sample library is very important to my production. and if the library was lost or damaged
it would be terrible
like all my third party nexus expansions,sylenth1 expansions alone
so I'm not trying to make this about me
I was commenting on what Rome said about backing stuff up

to most producers their sample library is very important to them
and someone posted they keep their sample library and session files on a hard drive which alot of us do]
and Rome commented about putting that on the cloud
I commented it would cost alot to store my sample library on the Cloud
and I wish they would have a one-time yearly payment option
which alot of companies have(cheaper option).
but you can always ignore my post sir..
I wonder if Cloud will lower their prices over time or raise them as more ppl start to store more data with them

ahahaha rap weasel... and lol at your spelling of the word lmao.

Rome was right. This Google Drive thing is awesome. 5 GB for free. That's cool. You can add the App to your phone and access your files anywhere.

Just get Google Drive and stop playing games. You can get 100 GB for 5 dollars a month. That is only $60 a year if you pay month to month. If you can't spend $5 a month to back up your files, they aren't important.

Get with the times. Hard drives crash. Other sites could get raided by the Feds like Megaupload. You could be hacked in a second.

Back up your digital lifestyle or stay stuck in an analog world. There is no in-between.

If he has to pay the Mill then he should be pissed but like i said earlier this shit looks like he pieced something together to get people talking. We're talking about a hardvard graduate here, he's not that stupid.

This happened in 2010 and all of a sudden in 2012 this guy found it and is now suing him and all this is happening right in the middle of him dropping an album? Please.

Maybe i am wrong too but it def. isn't farfetched considering that he's been talking and recording everything and posting it on his facebook page lol.

yeah sooner or later we will all do this
and less with cable companies go for streaming like Netflix and Hulu Plus
it will take time more and more ppl are changing the way they store things and watch video

Yes there are. In some cases you can recover things that have been deleted from a drive. Sometimes when you delete a file it is not erased from you drive, only the index showing where the file was located is. This can be recovered. Chances are he was able to recover his data.

Someone made the point this dude is a Harvard Graduate...yet he can't recover a Hard Drive? That's shyt I can do drunk and buzzed while half asleep. I didn't graduate the 10th grade. lol.

All it takes is the right software and you can recover anything on a drive in space that hasn't been compromised. That's usually alot of files.

Same time, people steal ipods and leave the prior user's info all over them, yet the guys who "stole" his laptop wiped it completely clean. They have the knowhow to do that, yet didn't realize the prior owner was a world reknown musician....

I'm really lost to who buys this B.S.

Yeah. What would be the point of erasing the data and then turning it in? The reward was the same either way. Why would someone target Ryan Leslie like that anyway? The conspiracy theory doesn't match up to reality.

But the dude that found it should just settle for an easy $250,000 settlement and call it a day. Ryan can pay that and be done wit the whole ordeal. He already made a fool of himself. Just resolve the matter and move on with life. The music is gone anyway...
